Part 16

Nobody's POV

In a hall flanked by guards sat on thrones four men who could easily be mistaken for humans. However, these were the four Kings of the vampire world Aro, Caius, Marcus and Gabriel. They are the oldest vampires in the world and they rule over their race making sure that humans do not learn of their existence. 

They are considered by many to be heartless and soulless monsters but what many don't know is just a show to others. In truth they are a great big family but because of the fact that they have to have a reputation they have to show themselves differently than they really are. 

Of the four good rulers only three have their mate and Queens and they are Marcus, Caius and Aro ( Didyme lives in this book. I want Gabriel to have a maternal figure and Marcus to be happy) the only one without a mate is Gabriel. 

Many vampires tried to mate with him for this reason but Gabriel preferred to wait for his mate. He knows that his mate was born several years ago thanks to his dad's gift that saw him bond with his True Mate. 

He wanted to give her time to live a normal human life before changing her and introducing her as his Queen. However, he will have to wait a little longer the truth because now he has to deal with one young stupid vampire.

Gabriel's POV

I sat next to my dad and didn't know what to think about this situation we were in. Standing in front of us is Carlisle Cullen's first changed son and he is asking us to die. The reason is simple he thinks his human animal is dead and has taken her as his mate. 

Dad can see the relationship between humans and other beings. As I have a parental bond with him and an uncle - nephew bond with Aro and Caius although we are not blood related. I don't know why o thinks so even when dad said she was his only Blood singer not mate he still thinks otherwise. 

I don't know why this child is so stupid, I thought Carlisle had taught his venomous children the difference between Mate, True mate and Blood singer but I think if I spent hours explaining the difference to him he still wouldn't understand it. Uncle Aro roused me from my thoughts 

'' I understand why you want to die but we won't do it'' he said and Edward burned at us with a determined look and I knew he was planning something. As he left the throne room I turned my attention to two of the Elite Guard 

'' Demetri Felix go after him and stop him from doing something stupid. He is determined to die and I suspect he will try to expose himself to the humans'' I said seriously and they nodded and went after the young naive vampire. 

I leaned against the back of the throne '' Who has the feeling that there is more to this situation than we can see'' I asked '' I don't suppose you think Edward revealed our existence to him Blood singer'' asked Uncle Caius nervous at the thought. 

I looked at him '' You may have seen how he acted. However, I suspect he didn't tell her personally more like he was giving her clues as to what he was. You noticed how he didn't give his uncle a hand when he came over. He has something to hide and he knows that if we find out about it not only he will die but the rest of the coven as well'' I said seriously and I could see that they were thinking about what I had said. 

Noticing that something is taking Demetri and Felix a long time to get back '' Jane be good and find out what is taking the boys so long'' said Uncle Aro also realising the same thing. Jane soothed herself and headed off in the direction where Demetri and Felix had followed Edward. 

A few minutes passed when the door opened again '' Sister you were sent for one and you brought two and a half. What a clever girl you are'' said Alec praising his sister. Uncle Aro rose from his throne '' Aa Isabella is alive after all. How I love happy endings they are so rare'' he said taking Edward's hand in his. 

I looked at her and saw me Uncle along with Jane testing their powers on the girl and immediately knew what she was '' You are a shield. For this Uncle, Edward and Jane's powers don't work on you'' I said bored with the situation. 

Aro turned his attention to us '' What to do with you now'' he said '' You know what we have to do'' said Uncle C '' She knows too much'' added Dad '' Right Felix'' said Uncle A and sat down on the throne. 

And of course the young naïf thought he had a chance against Felix and quickly counted his odds. Blood singer started shouting something but I wasn't paying attention to her '' Bella will be changed and it's because of me'' shouted Seener and Uncle A took her hand. 

Uncle Aro looked at us '' To see things that haven't happened yet is a real gift. Go and do just that '' he said '' Remember the Volturi don't give second chances'' he said and the silly three of us walked out of the throne room. 

We all looked at Aro '' I know you are curious as to why I let them go without punishment. It was something in Alice and Edward's memories that didn't give me pause. Isabella has an older adopted sister who Edward can't read the thoughts of either. Edward with Alice suspected that Alexandra or Alex is not human first but she is. They wanted to get her to find out our secret and what we were to tell them hers. 

However, Alex did not fall into this trap and I can tell instead of bringing her closer to them it pushed her away. She seems to be friends with Rosalie and Jasper Hale and Emmett Cullen. From what I've seen the three of them were not happy that Isabella discovered our secret and moved away from the rest of the coven. 

I have a feeling they might want to leave the coven. You're also right Gabriel there is something else out there. I'm not sure how, but they managed to hide something from me and I want to know what they did. 

For that I want you, along with Demetri, Felix, Jane and Alec to go to the Forks next week and check out this situation. I suspect Alice will be reviewing my decisions so you will decide what you need to do. I notice there are Shapeshifting wolves there and not Children of the Moon so don't attack them and try to stay in the shadows '' Uncle Aro said and I nodded. This is a very good plan and I know we will try to find out everything we can about it.
