Third-person pov:

America lay in bed, awake, all night just in case one of his children woke up. It's fine anyway, he wasn't tired or he was but definitely couldn't sleep. He had to go to a meeting in the morning meaning he has to trust the oldest states to take care of the rest for about four hours, God America was tired, but it was already 5 am meaning if he went to sleep he would probably sleep through his three alarms that he had set up in his room the night before.

When America's alarms went off it was 5:55 am he got up, went downstairs, and made some strong very Strong coffee. He was supposed to be at the meeting by 6:30, so he had about 3o minutes left.

He went to the living room to sit on the couch till' one of the older States came down so he could explain the house rules and the schedule for the day but to America's surprise (and relief) two of the older States were awake already.
"What are you two doing up?" it came out as more of a statement than a question
"Oh we wanted to see you before you left" responded Massachusetts
"Yeah, and I haven't ever taken care of the other states before so I wanted to know what to do-" Georgia (the youngest of the original 13 colonies) was quickly cut off by New York who had just walked down the stairs.
"Yes you have ya wack peach-obsessed bitch" America glared at the state
"Language"
"Yes, pa" he sighed. America looked at the time it was 6:25 am
'I'm gonna be late again' he thought, he pulled on a very dark blue sweatshirt over his old clothes from yesterday and grabbed his keys "you kids got this, or do I need to skip this meeting?" he said mostly joking
"We'll be fine, don't skip"
"All alrighty then, try not to fight. Please" he asked knowing that it probably won't do much
"Fiiine," they said in unison and waved goodbye to their amazing father.
