It was just about closing time at the diner until I heard the chime of the door. I turned to Riley wondering who it was.
" Sir we are closing in 10 minutes" I explained. " It'll just be a minute" a dark deep voice replied.
" Okay what can I get you" I muttered. " Black coffee no sugar" he replied. I looked up at him as if he was crazy.
His eyes were dark and he had dark circles on his face. Almost as if he hasn't slept in days.
He had a black hoodie on with his sleeves up exposing his tattoos.
" You just gonna stare at me or get me my order" he growled. I snapped back out of the trance pouring his coffee into the to go cup.
" It'll be $1:49 sir" I assured him. He threw a 10 dollar bill on the table. I made my way to the cash register to get change but when I returned he was gone as almost as if he disappeared.
