-Rachel pov-
It has been a few hours of being with my mom alone. We have just been sitting in a tense silence. We get up to get snacks, drink refills, or to use the bathroom. Besides that we have not talked yet.

I look at the woman who looks just like me but older. I have no idea what I am supposed to say. I mean she left me and abandoned me for a child that was from my former bully. I am still hurting from everything.

I still want to know why William could easily convince her like that. She could have told me and talked with me. Instead she tucked tail and ran. I look at her to see her looking at her lap.

I am about to speak when she gets up. I am about to stay sitting when I shake my head. I follow her and see her going to the piano. She sets it up and sits with space beside her.

I stay at the front and she just plays.

By the end I am sitting next to my mom. I look at her and she looks to still be in thought slightly. I lay my head on her shoulder and her arm wraps around me. I feel tears forming in my eyes quickly.

"I was so scared that you truly would never want me after you have had your dads for years now" I look up to see she has tears in her eyes too "William made it seem so real and my fears overruled everything else in my brain"

"But you could have talked to me" I move back some so we can face each other "Why will you not talk to me still?"

"Cause I am afraid of you telling me no" She sighs and shakes her head "I am a fraud Rachel! I failed a an actress, I failed as a mom, and I have failed at life! I am a fraud and nothing more than that!"

"You are Beth's mom and mine" I wipe some of my tears "Even if Noah is her stupid father"

"He is not" We both turn toward the doorway and see Santana there "We are not ready for details but just know he is not"

"Privacy?" She nods and walks away "I want to have you as my mom Shelby"

"Give me another chance?" I turn and we make eye contact "Give me another chance and I will make every day after up to you! I will make you know that I am your mom and here for the long run!"

"One more chance" I hold my arms open "No running?"

She nods and we share a huge hug. I am going to be cautious but I want this. I want to have her in my life as my mom no matter what. Even if that costs me in the long run, screw it.

I am going to enjoy every day of her being my mom until she is not.
