It had been about a week since their date and Shuri was back in Wakanda.
She had been in such a good mood since she got back and everyone else around her noticed it too.
"My Queen, Lord M'Baku is approaching the lab."
Shuri looked up from her work, "Thank you Griot."
"Good evening, your highness," M'Baku said. Shuri rolled her eyes.
"M'Baku, I told you not to call me that."
"You've been in a very good mood lately, I don't mean to get in your business but who is she?" He was definitely getting in her business.
"Riri," A smile came to her face. She knew she was about to call her as soon as M'Baku left.
M'Baku raised an eyebrow, "The American girl?" Shuri nodded her head. "Well, that's good for you."
"M'Baku, when is the meeting, there's no need for you to pretend like you care."
"In an hour," With that, he turned and walked out.
"Finally," Looking at the time. She called Riri on her kimoyo beads and a small little version of her popped up. "Hello, my love."
Shuri had left a pair on the nightstand when she brought her back to the hotel.
"Hey baby," Shuri was just admiring her. She hadn't got a chance to call her all week and she missed her. Riri had been really busy with stuff at school but now she was on Christmas break.
"So, what are your plans for your break," Wakanda had never celebrated Christmas, but this holiday seemed to be important to Riri. She knew about the gift giving part but she just didn't know what to get her.
"Nothing really, just spending time with my family."
Shuri knew that she was going to say that but she also wanted to spend some time with her.
"Is there any way, maybe... you could come to Wakanda?" She didn't know what she was going to say but she was hoping for a yes.
"Well, I was planning on being with my family the whole time..." Shuri's face expression saddened, "But I guess I can come after for New Years."
