"Shuri, I'm not trying to be rude but why exactly have you been helping me with my suit lately?

"Well, my dear girlfriend, this battle that is coming up is all about you."

Riri raised her eyebrow. "You're not the reason but you are gonna play a major role."

"Well Riri," Shuri sat down, "I'm sure Zakari has studied everything about everyone but there can only be two things he's going off of. The battles that Wakandans have had before and the battle with Killmonger."

Riri stood there listening and thinking before her eyes went up in realization, "I wasn't there during those times and Zakari doesn't know about Ironheart so I'm the element of surprise."

"Yep," Shuri nodded, "However, the Midnight Angels are going to be with you but you're gonna have more things to do."

Riri took a break from her suit and sat down on Shuri's lap, "So what are you gonna do?"

"I'm going to be here but will transfer in when needed."

"Wait what?" Riri stood up, "Shouldn't you be out there helping everyone else."

"There won't be an everyone else because he won't have an army. Zakari and N'Jadaka may be bonded by blood but when it comes to noticing their surroundings, they're completely different. I pinned his location and sent a drone and watched him. He has a good few lackeys but not enough for an army."

"Ok I get it but as much as I appreciate the help, I would like to build my suit by myself."

Shuri shook her head, understanding. "Well, I'm gonna go down and check on the Midnight  Angel suits."

Shuri stood up and kissed her forehead before walking down to the first floor.

Riri sat down and just started thinking. This was something that could end good or bad. The good thing that could happen is she could be a hero and earn Wakanda's trust. The bad result could end with them despising her more. She could tell that behind some of those fake smiles, they didn't want her there and was basically shaming Shuri for even dating her. The obvious guess was because she was an outsider.

Of course she tried not to let it get to her but sometimes it got to her head.

She looked at the blueprints scattered all across the lab table. There were coffee mugs all over the table, something she had used to help keep her up. Riri had been in the lab day and night, trying to figure something out. She refused to go to sleep until Shuri basically forced her in the bed. She fell into a deep slumber as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The stress of everything like the abduction of her family and now being the most important part of what was about to go down was hitting her like an 18-wheeler.

The inventor's block she was facing wasn't making it any better. Everyone else was moving around great while she was just sitting there.

While everyone else had been fixing and creating, the only thing she had done was repainted her suit and repaired a few gears. She honestly didn't know what to do and just felt like breaking down and crying.
