Once they got back home, the core wouldn't shut up.

"Ha, you're trying to ignore us sooooo hard right now."

The core snickered as Marcy played "Crossy Road" on her phone as Anne started the pancakes.

Marcy and Sasha had wanted to help too, but Anne assured the both of them that she could do it.

"Haha, this is hilarious."

Marcy tried to ignore them, but they didn't give up so easily.

"Marcyyyyyyyyyyy."

"Pst, hey Mar Mar, we wanna tell you something."

"Marbles~"

"SHUT UP!" Marcy suddenly shouted, banging her fist on the table.

Sasha jumped in her seat, looking at Marcy, alarmed.

Anne looked up from the pancake batter, surprised.

"S-sorry just- ah- something on my phone." Marcy lied.

Anne stared at her a moment longer before she continued stirring, looking back down.

However, Sasha didn't look away so quickly.

Marcy felt the blonde's gaze on her, and she felt her skin prickle.

"Wow, blondie really won't leave you alone, huh?"

"Oh shut it..." Marcy thought back.

"I-is there something on my face, Sash?" Marcy asked, looking up, her gaze meeting Sasha's.

Sasha just shook her head, continuing to stare at Marcy.

"Uhm..." Marcy turned her attention back to her phone, "Th-then what's wrong?"

Sasha continued staring, not realizing she was making Marcy uncomfortable.

Marcy's heart began to pound, and she felt a bead of sweat form on her forehead.

"Stupid social anxiety..."

Against her greater will, she began to slightly shake.

"Not now...please not now..."

Sasha took note of this and realized that she had been staring.

"I- uh...I'll be right back..." Marcy got up quickly, heading down the hall to her room.

Once she was in there, she immediately dug in her pocket for her anxiety medicine, her trembling becoming more violent.

Her hands were shaking, and she fumbled. She couldn't find them.

"Oh nonononononono-" She felt tears sting her eyes as she sunk to her knees.

"Marcy?" She heard Sasha's voice as the other woman knocked. "I'm coming in..."

"Sasha...I-I'm fine...p-please j-just.." Marcy studdered, but Sasha couldn't be stopped.

Marcy slightly scooted away from Sasha as the core's mocking laugh filled her ears.

"Pathetic!"

"Weakling!"

"Somebody looks at you and you break down!?"

"You're so stupid!"

"Taking control of you is going to be easier than we thought!"

Sasha, slowly, gently, pulled Marcy close.

Marcy felt her heart slow, her breathing even, her mind clear.

"There you go Marce, I'm sorry..." Sasha began before getting interrupted by Marcy
