Amy and Jonah were on a romantic vacation in the Bahamas for a week, sadly, it was time to go back to California.
Amy and Jonah are in bed, when suddenly Amy's alarm rings.
Amy: ah I'm up, I'm up! Oh...
Jonah: it's 5 am. Our flight isint until 9 Amy... Why are we awake?
Amy: We need to pack?!
Jonah: already taken care of. I did it when you were asleep last night. Don't worry and go back to sleep. Jonah kissed Amy on the forehead.
Amy: what would I do without you?
Jonah: Wither, like a plant without water.
It was 8 am. Jonah and Amy were still asleep. Untill they heard a knock on the door.
Housekeeping: Hello?! Housekeeping.
Amy: hm? Oh shit! Jonah wake up!
Amy Shook Jonah awake.
Jonah: I'm up dang.
Amy: we overslept!
Jonah: fuck.
Amy quickly scrambled around the room to find clothes, and ran into the bathroom to change.
Jonah went to answer the door.
Jonah: Hi, I'm so sorry me and my wife overslept. We will be out in 5 minutes.
The housekeeper sighed. And nodded.
Jonah closed the door and grabbed the first shirt he could find. He put his shoes on and waited for Amy.
Amy exited the bathroom
Amy: come on we're gonna be late for the flight !!!
Amy and Jonah sign out of the hotel, and take a cab to the airport.
As soon as the cab drops them off, Amy gets a notification on her phone saying the flight has been cancelled, and that the next available flight isint for 48 hours.
Amy: we. Are. Fucked.
Jonah: let me check my phone to see if any hotels are available. Nope. But it does look like there's a crappy motel right over there.
Amy groans.
They walk over to the motel and reserve a room.
Amy: there's mold in the pillows. Jonah, we can't stay here.
Jonah: everything is booked except some 1300 dollar hotel 50 minutes from here.
Amy: ok book it.
Jonah: Amy, I -.
Amy: book. It. I'll get a cab.
They arrive and the very expensive fancy hotel.
Amy and Jonah enter their room.
Amy: oh my... Lanta !
Jonah: in confused, did we book a hotel room or buy an apartment?
Amy: this might be fancier than the hospital parker was almost born in.
Jonah: hey well I suppose if we are stuck her 1 more night we could make the best of it.
Amy: I'm listening.
Jonah: we could get room service and watch cheesy 90s teen prom movies.
Amy: yes. 1 thousand times yes!
Jonah chuckles.
Amy and Jonah fall asleep watching movies, and wake up the next day.
Jonah: good morning beautiful.
Amy smiles.
Jonah: guess what?
Amy: what?
Jonah: I got us a hotel for part of the night. Our flight is at 5 am.
Amy: shit I need to text the kids babysitter that we will be back tomorrow.
Jonah: uhm, bad news...
Amy: are you kidding me...
Jonah: I know it sucks. Our flight just got delayed to 9 am. I don't have any more payed leave!
Amy: neither do i.
Fast forward to the next day.
Amy and Jonah get in their flight home and all is good.
