The last thing you could remember is riding the train with Rudolf, before falling asleep on his shoulder.
You walk up only to find yourself lying on a couch, in a humble-looking apartment.
Your eyes wander around for a while, still processing your surroundings.
However, you stand up and walk around the apartment, trying to find its owner.
Only to see an exceptionally handsome man, taller than average in height, slim, well built, with beautiful dark eyes and dark brown hair leave the bathroom.
"Hello" he greets you with a nervous tone.
But, instead, he is speaking Russian.
And like Italian, you understood what he was saying as if it was your mother's tone.
This gave you a hint about what story you traveled to.
"Who are you?" you inquire, hoping that he would answer differently than that in your mind.
Please, let it be not him.
"Rodion Raskolnikov, and what is your name, miss?"
Of course, out of all stories you could have been transported to, it just had to be Crime and Punishment for you to end up in.
It's not like you hate the story, in fact, you love Dostoyevsky's works, and you have read all of them.
But it is just too depressing for you to be experiencing them in real life.
And Raskolnikov is a complex character that you love and hate at the same time.
"I'm (Y/n)...thanks for having me, but I have to leave now," you say, trying to exit the apartment.
But, Raskolnikov stops you by grabbing your arm harshly, his cold gaze meeting your frightened one.
"You are not going anywhere, not after what you saw" your eyes widen in confusion.
"What did I see?"
Raskolnikov starts to get nervous and stutters out the sentence.
"You saw me kill them both, Lizaveta and Alyona Ivanovna"
Your heart drops to your stomach at the accusation, and you start to get scared.
"I never saw you-" he cuts you off.
"Don't deny it, I saw your unconscious body by the door, I assume you saw me murder them, then fainted in fear"
You shook your head at him, trying to remove yourself away from the paranoid man, but he hold you in your place.
"Why didn't you kill me then?" you inquire curiously.
Raskolnikov stays silent for a while, only staring as if fighting an internal battle, before finally answering you.
"I don't know"
But Raskolnikov knows very well the reason why he kept you alive, but he rather not admit it out loud.
He can't admit that he enjoys your mere appearance.
You intrigue him.
"I know that you won't believe what I'm going to tell you... But I promise not to tell anyone" he narrows his eyes at you.
"You are lying"
"I'm not lying, I swear not to tell anyone that you murdered-"
Raskolnikov shoves you against the wall, his free hand placed against your lips only to silence you.
Just because your tone raised a little bit.
"You are not leaving my side, and you will also pretend to be my wife if anyone gets suspicious about your relationship with me"
Oh great.
You are stuck with a man who suffers from a morbid monomania of murder and robbery.
