Olivia Tanner was a fifteen year old girl with the power to harness fire. Many people have heard of a beautiful creature in mythology by the name of the firebird, or phoenix. A bird with bright orange feathers that can conjure bright flames and rise from ashes. They were confident bright birds that stood for inspiration and hope.

While Olivia had the abilities of a firebird, she did not have the personality nor inspiration of one. She was shy, quiet, and spent most of her days by herself.

She kept her head down as she walked Beacon Hill's crowded hallways and attended her loud classes. She didn't know anyone and nobody knew her.

Or so she thought. Because of her ability to block out the world while listening to music, she had no idea of the secret admirer that was put into a trance every time she walked into a room. A boy who so badly wanted to gain just an ounce of her attention.

When Olivia's dad, James Tanner, is called by an old friend, she's forced to face the reality of her abilities and come to terms with the past. All while struggling to figure out why a certain werewolf can't leave her thoughts.
