Child, child, are you alright?

Child, child, are you alright?

A warm ray of sunshine hit his face as his eyelashes fluttered to the morning light. An unfamiliar face was smiling sweetly, hands touching his face.

How did you get here child?

It was a woman. She was all dressed in white with her hair all down to her waist. For him, she almost looked like an angel.

Am I in heaven?

He tried to get up but he felt sore all over his body. He tried to look around and dizziness fell upon him. Then he looked at his hands; it was all covered with crimson red. His heart started to beat faster; his breathing heavier.

And he shouted, hysterically. With tears rolling on his face, his hands are all trembling. Then he closed his eyes as pictures of men laughing maniacally through the fire; gunshots all over the place as he tried to untie himself and ran away. Ran away from those devils trying to hurt him.

It was hell. A place in an ocean of flames. He was terrified. And tired. And hopeless.

Until a loud explosion happened. He then rolled down the cliff; hanging on for his dear life; praying to the Gods.

Child! Child! Wake up!

The next thing he knew, he was already inside a room filled with shiny things. He was already wearing a white flannel shirt. He raised his hands in the air with his eyes closed.

It's alright.

He then slowly opened it and saw nothing but a hand with bandages. He was relieved.

Knock. Knock.

His attention went to the knocking sound. He tried to speak but his throat hurts and he doesn't know why. He still tried.

"Who's there?"

"It's me, child."

Then he remembered the woman he saw this morning. He thought it was just a ghost but she is actually real.

"Where am I?" It was the first thing he asked.

"You're in my mansion." And she smiled as she gave him a glass of water.

"Thank you ma'am."

"What's your name?"

His name?

What is his name?

Wait.

He doesn't remember his name.

Name.

Name.

Does he have one?

"Are you okay?"

Then he went back to reality.

"I can't remember." Then again, tears started to well up.

"Shh. It's okay child."
