Berkley's leg bounced up and down as she looked down at the game before her, resting her elbow on her knee while subconsciously biting her finger nails.

It was odd for her to feel so emotionally invested in a football match. All her life, she had been more intrigued in the final score and making conversation with her brothers than actually watching, despite who was playing. After all, she began supporting arsenal because Romeo supported them, and she felt the need to support a team so she could speak her brothers language. However, now, she felt as if her eyes were glued to the green pitch below her. They bounced from blue player to blue player, and she couldn't help but feel a burst of anxiety and excitement every time the ball was at Mason's feet.

"I don't know how you do this every week," Berkley told the two German girls beside her, "I'm about to shit myself to be honest."

She glanced over briefly to see Sofia, Kai's girlfriend, smile at her warmly. "It's not usually this... what is the word-" the girl struggled to speak as she waved her hand around in thought, trying to think of how to finish her sentence.

"-nerve wracking?" Julia, Timo's girlfriend, helped to say. Berkley smiled as Sofia's face lit up with a smile.

"Yes! That!"

The brunette couldn't help but chuckle at the girls she had grown acquainted to in the past half an hour. It definitely helped her to have them there to speak to, knowing they probably felt as nervous as she did.

It wasn't that Berkley wouldn't know what to do in the crowd of chelsea families as she was often known for being a good people person, hence the reason she grew into sports media in the first place. From a young age, she already loved interacting with players and families, it intrigued her. However, she never thought she'd actually be one among them, and no matter how many girlfriends and families of footballers she has spoken to in the past, she would have never been able to imagine the nerves she felt at the pit of her stomach for a team she didn't even support.

"Is this the first you have come to Mason's game?" Julia asked her, looking past Sofia as she sat in between them.

Berkley nodded as she glanced at her. "Yeah," she chuckled nervously, "is it obvious?"

"Not really," Sofia told her with a shrug, "you are a lot more calm than we were when we first watched Kai and Timo's games."

"He was just kept telling Timo about how excited he was," Julia giggled and Berkley couldn't help but smile as Sofia nodded along.

"Yes! They were late to our double date the other night because they were all in Kai's room and apparently Mason was talking about it for like 30 minutes."

"Really?" Berkley laughed, shaking her head playfully. She couldn't ignore the butterflies she felt in her stomach as she heard Julia and Sofia talk about Kai and Timo and how much Mason spoke of her. It was cute to see the two Germans and their boyfriends, and it made her both giddy and nervous thinking about Mason in that sense.

Berkley smiled to herself as they all looked back at the game. The score was still 0-0 as the first half was nearing an end, and the Beckham girl couldn't help but continually flicker her eyes from the score board and the time and back to the field every so often.

Her leg hadn't stopped bouncing since kick off and half her nails were basically chewed off at that point. She could sense Sofia and Julia's anxiety too, but they definitely knew how to hide it better than she did.

Berkley could scarcely remember watching her fathers games while she was young, feeling this exact atmosphere that drew her into falling in love with the emotion of the game in the first place: There was so much passion from the crowds and the people, and she had never felt it stronger in herself before this very moment.
