13- questions and roses

Guys I just spent 4 hours drawing what payus guns look like haha now I actually get to write the story and I really hope y'all like this. By the way Pa is Vegas and Papa will be Pete

Payus POV
Pa had rain stand in front of me and I knew he wasn't judging him. He was trying to figure out if we could trust him. Trying to decide if he was nervous or guilty. I knew rain was just terrified or rejection but it didn't matter how many times I said that this was Vegas Theerapanyakul he would not believe me until he decided for himself my parents were busy questioning rain on why he was scared and I had a brief introjection explaining his fears and my parents were quick to reassure him. He stood for a bit before my papa opened his arms for a hug but the instant Rain started to step over my pa and papa stopped him and their eyes landed on the same thing. The rose necklace. Then their eyes fell down to the flowers on his boots. Pa looked at me then back to Rain. The poor boy was lost. "Why roses kid?" Pa asked him acting like he was interested but I knew. He wanted to know if I gave them to him. He wanted to know if I had made my choice. Rains face lit up "Phi got them for me before we came!" He exclaimed with a proud smile. Papa looked at me both curious and shocked "is this true Payu?" I took a breath and nodded "yeah I gave them to him papa" Rain looked very confused but I couldn't explain yet I had to deal with my dad's first. "Have you thought this through Payu" papa asked me seriously "yes I have given it a lot of thought papa" and I had this was what I wanted. "Okay have you explained it to him yet?" Pa asked and I turned to him and shook my head no "not yet but I will" "explained what phi?" Rain interrupted and I suppose their is no time like the present

Rains POV
P'payu and his dad's were talking and I was so confused when Mr Vegas said "have you explained it to him yet" I figured that was my chance to try to get some answers here after all he had promised to tell me everything. I planned to hold him to that. "Explained what phi" I said aloud then Mr Vegas,Mr Pete and P'payu turned to look at me. "My love you remember that my family is involved in some...shady activities that aren't legal?" He started and I nodded. "Okay let's start with what that means shall we" I nodded. He turned to Mr Vegas and said "pa I'm taking him for a walk around the house to talk" Mr Vegas just nodded so Phi walked over and put his arm around my waist to lead me out of the room. Once we were alone. "My sweet boy can I ask you a question" he said he seemed nervous so I tried to help by being my normally happy self. I smiled and nodded "mhm what is it" he took a quick breath "have you ever truly feared me rain" rain? Was he okay? What happend to sweet boy or my love? "Of course not why would you ask that phi are you okay" he chuckled softly "follow me rain" there it was again it almost hurt me to hear it felt like we weren't as close. And on top of that he took his hand of my waist as he walked ahead of me. I followed him and we entered a room filled with guns and knives and all kinds of weapons I couldn't even recognize. One gun in specific caught My eye a grey gun with red and with red roses

I walked over and ran my hand over it gently phi followed me and very quietly said "do you like it?" I nodded softly "it's so pretty phi"
"It's mine, well sort of" he said again his breath against my cheek for the second time today and the effect hadn't changed it still like fire. "I take it's match on missions" he said.

Payus POV
I took Rain to the one room I knew would spark questions without terrifying him. We were in the room for about 45 seconds when he ran over to a gun I don't have to go with him to know which one it never left it's spot. It hadn't moved in the 24 years it had been in my possession my papa had bought the set of weapons the day before they had adopted me and they had been mine since the day I got into this family. I walked over and stood behind him leaning down to whisper in his ear as he gently ran his fingers over the weapon. "Do you like it" I whispered and he nodded softly barley moving his head "its so pretty phi" he said softly on awe. The next statement to leave my mouth was one I knew would open up a whole lot of questions. "Its mine well sort of" I paused and before he could question what that meant I said something even worse "I take it's match on missions it's match is the only gun I'm willing to use." He turned away from the gun and twords me "missions...guns..all kinds of weapons... illegal activity..the bodyguards at the door..the wealth.. phi..." He was slowly starting to piece together what was really going on. I stood there letting him put all the pieces together and I saw fear flash in his eyes. He lied. He was scared of me. I took a step back and he ran to the other side of the room. that hurt. A lot.

Rains POV
"I take it's match on missions it's match is the only gun I'm willing to use." Hearing that I turned around to him and started to realize"missions...guns..all kinds of weapons... illegal activity..the bodyguards at the door..the wealth.. phi..." I mumbled trying to sort all this out he couldnt actually mean that right. Phi couldn't be part of what I thought this was and if I was right what would happen to me. What's worse was the idea that if I'm right I could loose him at any moment. I needed to get out of here I needed to think what would I do if I lost him that was the one thing I couldn't survive. He stepped back and I ran over to the other side of the small room trying to have some space to breathe. Phi followed me with his eyes and a single tear fell from his eyes. " You lied" he barley said it. What? How had I lied? "When" I asked trying to figure this out he looked at me and I realized that when I ran he thought I was scared of him. "Phi I'm not scared of you I'm scared of what your involved in but never of you." Another tear fell. I slowly walked back to him. He accepted me. Now it was my turn. "You um you mentioned there was a second gun" as I said this I stopped by his side and reached up to gently wipe the tears from his cheeks. He nodded. "Can I see" he nodded again and reached to almost the ceiling and handed me a gun incredibly similar to the one I had seen earlier it to was beautiful the only difference was that instead of many roses this one only had two

I set the object on the nearest surface and grabbed his hand "we are supposed to be walking and talking right?" I smiled at him and started heading for the door. "What do the roses mean phi" it seemed like a harmless question...right?
