I pick up one of the pentothal bottles "What. Did. You. Do"

"I-I-I- He s-said it hurt l-like hell, s-so I thought- I thought- . . ." He stutters

Rocky had a wound right next to his nose, covered by a red-stained gaze, and a wound right next to his ear. An opened slit, also covered in a red gaze.

The light grey fur on one side of his face was stained with blood, as well as the bed's no-longer-white sheets

I just turn around and make my way outside the house

My heart hasn't stopped racing since Zuma and I talked this morning, but my head starts pounding in rage.

"Marshall- Listen, just-" The labrador exclaims, trying to stand in my way but seems like he's terrified of me. He doesn't even dare to touch me

Once I reach the Lookout, I get ready to find a way to break into the big tower, but the big metal door just slides open

As if he was waiting for me

I get on the elevator, which takes a couple of seconds to start working, and then we start going up

I could see, from the edge of my eye, Zuma waving his paws around, moving his mouth as if he was talking, but I can't hear him

All I hear is an uncomfortable ringing in my ears, my heart pounding and my own heavy breathing

And the elevator's glass doors quietly open

My attention quickly turns to Chase, who is just sleeping on a dusty lime green bean bag

With no hesitation, I begin approaching him

The ringing gets even more intense when I hear Zuma shout, immediately making Chase open his eyes and raise his head

But, right before he can cover himself with his paws, I take him by the ears and pull him into the floor

Chase hits the floor with a thump as he lets a loud whining go, making Zuma quickly close his eyes and cover his ears

I stand on top of Chase, grab him by the chest and curl my paw into a fist

It is disgusting how one event can completely destroy someone

Memories and relationships, gone as if they never existed

"I think the flowers are a bad idea"
