Chapter 1 Meow?

Reader's Pov

I was walking along the old sidewalk, my paws not making a single noise.  It was cool out since it was the beginning of spring making me walk a quicker pace to hopefully stay warm.  This neighborhood was tiny, but very loud with all of it's children in the daytime.  It was always a nice feeling to have children run up to me and start petting my soft fur, too bad their parents take them away.  I let out a soft mew at the memory of my last owners.  They were a lovely old couple who found me walking along the streets like I am now.  It was raining and my fur was soaking wet with my stomach growling loudly.  They were taking a walk under an umbrella and they saw me.  The old man looked at me and knelt down before scooping me up in his arms.

They walked home and took me to their bathroom and placed me in the tub, filling it with warm water.  I always loved baths because the water was warm and afterwards my fur would be silky and shiny.  They cleaned me up and gave me some chicken.  I didn't understand why they were doing it, but I didn't care.  After that I had a great life, until they got too old and had to leave the house, causing me to go back out onto the streets again.  I didn't realize that I had stopped walking and let out a little whimper at the memories.  I was about to start walking when I heard a scream come from the two story house I was in front of.  It was full of fear and desperation.  I ran to it in curiosity and saw an open window on the top floor.  I started climbing the side of the house, thankful that it was made of wooded siding.

I finally pulled myself onto the window ledge and looked at the sight before my eyes.  It was...depressing.  A teenage girl was holding a game console in her hands while her throat was slit.  Looking around the room I saw her once beautiful shade of dark blue wall now had dark red writing on it.  "IMDEAD" and "R.I.P"  All around the room I felt the emotion of sadness.  I didn't think it was the girls because it was fresh, and it lead out into the hall.  I waited for a while before the killer came back.  When I saw him his appearance worried me.  He was wearing a gold outfit from Pokemon but it was black and white, his skin was deathly white, and he was missing his arms and legs.  The only color on him was the bloody tears running down his face and his irises.  It troubled me to see this boy look like this that I didn't even realized that I spoke.  "Meow?"
