Dante is standing before a table shocked at Demon Mantis before his old dulled eyes as Simon, Cedric, and Roxanne are there as well.

"And Sezroroth caused this?" Dante asks stoically but uneasy by this.

Roxanne nods respectfully while Malakai is leaning against a wall looking at the Demon Mantis curiously yet angrily.

"Malakai?" Dante questions wanting him to explain how this is possible.

Malakai sighs lowly though it comes off as a growl.

"This... Is no natural demon for the record, this abomination is the result of a Demon forcefully turning an animal into one." Malakai replies with distain.

Dante raises a brow hearing this.

"I thought you needed a soul and the use of blood magic to become a demon?" Cedric confusingly asks.

"That's how sentient beings are turned into Demons, animals are different." Malakai replies.

Everyone in the room looks at him baffled by his words causing him to sigh in annoyance.

"Every living thing has a soul of some kind, sentience and souls go hand in hand, your souls allow you to feel guilt, anger, and pleasure but your sentience is what allows you to keep those feelings in check and also... Fight off the... Temptations." Malakai explains.

Dante looks at Malakai in surprise, as he never imagined him to give a lecture on souls.

"Most animals don't hold a high enough sentience to resist becoming a Demon, they are simply animals trying to survive... As for how it's done? I imagine it's similar to vampires or lycans, a virus spread through a bite."

"Great... As if we had enough trouble on our hands." Cedric states through a heavy sigh.

"Well if it's any consolation, the animal will only be as strong as the Demon turning them." Malakai replies.

Simon's eyes widen hearing this realizing something.

"Meaning... These Demonic animals could as strong as the Demon Knights or the Demon King?" Simon asks seething at this thought.

"Possibly but I wouldn't worry about that, the process at least for a time weakens the Demon who turned the animal, the pretender won't make his Demon Knights weaker and risk them being killed." Malakai assures.

Everyone shakes their heads but are relieved to hear this. Malakai exists and searches around for Aiden finding him rather easily.

"I could sense the loathing on you as soon as you came back... What is it?" Malakai asks crossing his arms.

Aiden sits on the log analyzing his weapon and cleaning it though it's rather unnecessary.

"Sezroroth was there and... I tried fighting him yet he called me weak, even though there was a time where he feared me." Aiden replies but can feel Malakai's disappointment.

Malakai walks into Aiden's view who sees his stern look.

"I just... I don't understand what's going on, I feel not as strong as I should be." Aiden adds on.

"Cause you're not, you and Athorazen are in an interesting position of sharing the same body so your strengths aren't where it could be." Malakai retorts truthfully which Aiden can sense.

Aiden looks down at his blade seeing his reflection yet he can picture Athorazen in the reflection.

"Is there... Any remedy for this?" Aiden asks though he feels stupid for asking it which Malakai senses
