(Harpy x Reader)

You bare your bloodied teeth in a grimace as your hair is yanked from your head. Exposing your neck to the filthy criminals and straining tears in your eyes. Though, the tears might help wash away some of the filth coating your skin. Some kind of mix between dried sea salt and ash, blood spattered across the right side and staining your lips as you try not to choke on the metallic taste that was surely permanent in your mouth by now.

"Heads high! Captain is coming out to inspect the new prisoners."

You try to breathe through the stench wafting from the men, eyes squinted to try and make out the infamous Captain of The Albatross. As soon as you had seen the flag, the red bird on the black background, you knew you needed to run.

But who would listen to a stowaway peeking through a port hole from their makeshift cell. Who wouldn't turn and fight the oncoming ship of filthy pirates determined to steal what doesn't belong to them.  How about who wouldn't attempt to flee once they realized they were losing, that the pirates were overwhelming and could fly through the air on ropes as if they had wings.

You try not to flinch as steel toed boots tap the stairs, a countdown to your certain doom. Your eyes were stuck to the sky, the circling birds evidence of your oncoming death. It was stupid, stupid to think that stealing away on that boat was the ticket to a better life, an escape from the life you had known.

"Now, now my compatriots. Let us be welcoming to our guests." The voice is a light tone, but behind it is something very sinister. From the chuckles of the rest of the crew, there was clearly a dark joke somewhere but you weren't sure where. "Let me see what we have caught trespassing in our seas."

You strain your neck trying to see who the infamous Captain of the Albatross was. He was said to be fast as a falcon, the famed pirate was rarely seen off his ship and always had a cloak of mystery about the man. An excellent swordsman and only after the riches that cross his seas.

"Unimpressive lot, seem to be missing anything particularly helpful. Disgusting. Disappointing." The insults seemed unnecessary to add to injury. But a thrumm of fear seemed to grow in your bones regardless. Finally, out of the corner of your eye you see him, your first glimpse of the monster that haunts these seas.

"And what is this?" He spits the words, stopping directly in front of you. Your heart strains to escape your chest at the first good look at the man. His skin is deeply tanned from the weathering sun, black hair curled with sea salt only a few braids stuck with black feathers and a bead touching the ends to hang along his skin emphasizing the sharp lines of his jaw and the crooked style of his nose. A slow smirk slides across his mouth to showcase some shockingly white and pointed teeth for a pirate.

The crookedly handsome face was set with amber eagle's eyes, bright with interest as he slowly looks you over, inch by inch, scrutinizing you in the baggy clothes that concealed parts of you from the grimy men that threatened certain horrendous things if they had known your true sex. His eyes narrowed slowly, the smirk turning into a near scowl as the seconds tick by.

He looked up to the man holding your head back at an awkward angle, exposing you to him in a way that suddenly made you extremely uncomfortable. "How. . . interesting." He lowers himself slowly, leaning forward to carefully look at your face with those eerie eyes, they threaten a level of danger that is foreign even to you.

"Release it." He snaps, and your head slackens, falling forward towards bound wrists as he catches your chin in his hand, forcing your face closer to his. Slowly he moves closer, lips brushing your ear ever so gently as hot breath coaxes a gasp from your lips. "It is a shame for you to hide those curves in those clothes. I almost missed it, but those bindings are a giveaway as much as they hide your beautiful breasts."
