this is part 2 to the arranged marriage chapter! please enjoy.

You and Hyunjin found a small, cute cafe to stop at, have a drink and talk about your options.

You both got your usual drinks, then found a seat near the back of the cafe, as far away from other people as you could manage.

At first, you sat in silence, while you both thought about what to say. What could you say? It was a terrible ultimatum that you two had been given.

Of course, having your parents money would definitely help you out in life, plus marrying Hyunjin would give you the opportunity of having stakes in his parents company. Since your parents didn't seem too fond of you having stakes in theirs.

You looked over to Hyunjin, studying his face carefully. He was off in his own world, eyes glued tightly down at the table.

He was a beautiful man. His skin was tanned and clear, not a single blemish on it. His dark eyes felt as deep as oceans. Any girl that looked into them could just drown in them, if she wasn't careful.

His lips were plump, soft looking. You had thought often about how they might feel, If you ever were given the chance to kiss them...stop thinking like that, Y/N! You scolded yourself.

You and Hyunjin had been best friends for as long as either of you could remember. For as long as you could remember, you had loved him, too.

But he never gave any indication that he felt the same. And why would he? You felt like you were nothing special, definitely not when compared to a man like him. He looked like a Greek God - any woman would be lucky to have him.

Suddenly, his eyes lifted from the table, to meet your own. It made your heart flutter in your chest.

If only...

"So, what do you think we should do, Y/N?" He asked, in a soft delicate voice.

You were so busy studying his beautiful face that you had started to forget about the awful meeting you had earlier. Marry Hyunjin, or receive no money or inheritance whatsoever.

You sighed, deeply. "I have no idea. I mean, I always just assumed I'd get my inheritance no matter what. I never thought, not in a million years, that..."

"That they would do this," Hyunjin finished for you.

"Exactly. Why do they care so much? Like, we'll both get married eventually anyway."

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow at that, tilting his head to the side curiously. Only then did you realise that it sounded as if you were saying you'd both marry each other.

Your face flushed bright red. "I-I didn't me-an that...I meant we'll both be married to other people eventually."

"Ah." He had a big smile plastered across his face. It made him look absolutely adorable. "I think they just always assumed we'd be getting married."

Now it was your turn to be confused. "What do you mean?"

"Do you really not know?"

"Know what?"

He sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Our parents have schemed to have us married to each other since we were kids, Y/N."

"What?!" You exclaimed, far too loudly. Some people in the coffee shop glanced over at you both, which made you glow red. "So-sorry...I just...I'm surprised. I had no idea. Are you absolutely sure?"
