Titus's POV

I noticed that Jenny had been on edge for the past two weeks, but she won't talk about it. It's like she's trying to unravel something that even she doesn't know what it is. And though I wanted to know what's been eating at her, I've given her space. We're on speaking terms again, and our relationship's starting to slowly look towards the bright side.

It was a hard pill to swallow when Wayne brought me the proof that Ellen did sell us out to the hunters. Wayne and I were in his office talking over plans on how to win the upcoming battle when Jenny bursts through the door, signing like crazy.

-King Winters, do you have any pictures of my pack about the time I was born? We look at her curios, but he just stands up and walks over to his safe. Very slowly, he removes a large frame and hands it to her. "What's going on Jenny?"

-I saw someone the other day and I can't get their face out of my mind. They reminded me of someone I think I used to know. As she stares at the faces, I watch as she starts to pale. Worried, I go stand behind her and slowly wrap my arms around her. I couldn't help but look at the picture, but no one stands out. "Jenny, love, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."

She hands the picture back to Wayne and then points at someone. –Who's that girl beside my father?

"That's Eleanor, you're older sister. Wait," he pauses and looks at her, "you didn't know you had an older sister?" Jenny shakes her head no. –They never told me. But I think I remember her right after I turned 2. I think she ran away, because after that there's nothing. My mind drifted and it wasn't until Wayne tapped my on the shoulder that I realized Jenny had left.

 "Where did she go?"

"She went out for a run. Don't worry, I sent John and Joel with her just in case Ellen is still around and tries something." At the thought of my friend, I growl softly. Shaking my head, I step back towards the map and try to focus on where we should place our warriors. But try as I might, Jenny's pale face kept resurfacing in my mind.

Jenny's POV

I couldn't believe it. Ellen was Eleanor, my older sister. I can remember thinking that she had just been a figment of my imagination because no one talked about her and I could never find any proof that she had lived in our house at all. And I was too scared to ask about her. I couldn't help but wonder if she knew that I was her sister. I wonder if she knew that our parents and our pack had been wiped out by hunters. I knew that I shouldn't, but I had to see if I could contact her some way. She deserved to know about their deaths.

Telling the King that I was going for a run, I left the house. John and Joel were right on my heels, but I quickly lost them. For an hour I raced through the woods trying to find her scent when I was hit by another femme. I jump to my feet only to find myself face to face with my sister. Jenny is that you? She links with me and I shake my head shocked. It was weird having someone other than my wolf in my head.

E...Ellen? She gave me a small smile. I know this is a shock to you Jenny. And if my memory serves me right, you can't talk vocally right?

Right. I can sign and speak to my wolf. And now apparently you through this link.

Why are you looking for me?

Because I had something to tell you. I don't remember much about you, but I do know that you left when I was very young. I wasn't sure if you knew what happened to our folks, our pack.

I know Jenny. I was with Titus's pack when it happened. I was the one who answered the phone the day you called. And I thought the worse.

Why did you do it Ellen?

Sell the wolves out to the hunters?

Yeah.

I've been planning on taking them down from the outside, but so far, I've never found an opportunity. I never meant to sell them out Jenny, not in a million years. But my plans have a way of always going South.

You could have told Titus. I'm sure he would have helped you.

Nope. It would have been his duty to arrest me and put me on trial for treason. Ellen gives a bitter laugh and I look at her. What?

Now he'll be duty bound to kill me on sight for what I've done.

 You can still redeem yourself.

Listen Jenny. You're my baby sister, I just figured that out. However too late really.

All I can do now is try to come up with a way to thwart their plans.

I'll help you Ellen. Ellen's eyes jerked towards her sister surprised. Why would you do that Jenny?

Because you're family, and you never leave family behind.  Jenny's voice was strong and it struck something in Ellen's heart. She blinked several times to clear the tears. I'll keep you abreast of anything that I come up with.

And I'll do the same Ellen. The two sisters nodded at each other before they took different paths. Ellen went back to her hideout while Jenny made her way back to the castle. But both of them were thinking the same thing; how to protect the other from what was coming up ahead.
