{A Few Days Later}

~Alador POV~

It's the club fair.

"It'd be cool! And...and useful!" I said, trying to convince Darius that a dueling club would be good.

"Do you really think the school would let you start a dueling club?" Darius asked.

"Maybe! If enough people are interested." I said.

"Who do you have already?" He asked.

"Me, Lilith, Eber, and...you?" I said hopefully.

He gave me an unsure look.

"I don't know." He said.

"Please, Darius." I said.

"Fine." He said, in a joking defeated tone.

"Yes!" I said.

He signed the sheet and ruffled my hair. I blushed and laughed.

"I was messing with you anyway. I'd have joined even if you didn't ask me, Surdoué." He said.

Eber snickered.

"You should ask Hooty and Songbird." Darius suggested.

"Ask us what?" Eda said, as she and Raine walked over to us. "And stop calling me Hooty!"

"I'm trying to start a dueling club and need members. Want to join?" I said.

"Why not?" Eda said. "I need something to do when I'm not playing grudgby."

"I'm in." Raine said. "It could be fun."

The both of them signed the sheet.

"So, who do you have already?" Eda asked.

"You two, Lilith, Eber, Darius, and myself." I said.

Raine and Eda exchange knowing looks.

"What is going on?" Darius asked.

"Oh, nothing." Raine smirked.

"I think this could be enough people." I said.

"I should get over to the grudgby stall before Lily has my head." Eda joked then walked off.

"Don't you have a stall to run?" Raine asked Darius.

"The principal said flyer derby wasn't really a 'good use of school funds' and shut it down." Darius explained.

"Oof. Harsh." Raine said.

"At least I tried." Darius said.

"Wanna work on trying to translate Eber?" Raine asked.

Darius shrugged.

"Meet up in the library hideout after the fair?" He said to me.

I nodded. They walked off.

{An Hour Later}

"Ah, a dueling club." Principal Faust said. "How...charming."

"Good afternoon, Principal Faust." I said.

"Is anyone actually interested in this club?" He asked.

"Yes. A few people are." I said.

I handed him the sign-up sheet. He read over it.
