After leaving the room Mary and Ririka now were walking yet again down the hallway, just in the opposite direction this time. The warm late afternoon sun rays were shining warmly through the corridor windows, letting multiple beautiful colors from outside move playfully over the corridor's walls. Because of these external factors many students would possibly at first sight be precluded from recognizing the actual very unpleasant atmosphere in the long hallway. Ririka was walking maskless next to Mary, although she walked slightly behind her as Mary seemed to have a specific destination Ririka didn't know about yet. Ririka felt quite distressed and therefore was looking guilty on the floor while walking. It wasn't abnormal that the two would not be talking a lot with each other while walking somewhere, nonetheless after the incredibly eventful gamble with Yumeko, Mary's complete silence since then had felt unusual, to the worried white haired girl. Ever since Mary had left the room she had not looked even once at Ririka, who wasn't blaming the blonde girl at all for that. The longer the two were walking the more Ririka could endure the silence less and less. Ririka, worried, felt like she just had to start any form of conversation.

"W-Where are we going?"asked Ririka the only more or less natural sounding question she could think of at that moment.

It didn't really matter where they would go, to Ririka as she would follow Mary wherever she would want, but Ririka just wanted to hear Mary say anything. They walked a little more in silence during which Ririka really hoped for any form of answer, before Mary finally responded "I'll bring you to the infirmary."

Mary sounded cold and distant which made Ririka feel even more perturbed, yet hearing her talk again felt at least a little comforting. Ririka was a little surprised to hear that they already would go to the infirmary yet the more she thought about it the more it made sense. Ririka had no idea when the effects of the drug would start, so it would be more beneficial to already be in the infirmary to begin with. Ririka felt a little more guilty since Mary had already decided to take responsibility and decide what the next best procedures for Ririka would be. Mary's answer didn't really leave any room for Ririka to build on and continue that specific conversation, so the Vice president nervously had to try again to hopefully improve the tense atmosphere.

"You have economics class soon, right?" asked Ririka innocently even though she already knew Mary's schedule perfectly by memory. Even after a longer period of time Mary was not giving any form of reply. The blonde girl just kept walking at a consistent paste while having an extremely uninterested stare directed in front of her. Mary made it quite clear that she wasn't at all in the mood to talk right now. Ririka wasn't really disappointed, however she had never felt this distant from Mary. Ririka felt remorseful and ashamed even as she decided to stop harassing Mary by trying to talk to her. She then just stared at the floor while walking, now completely silent as well. They walked by the classroom in which Ririka knew Mary would have class next lesson. Ririka had hoped that by now she would have accepted that Mary would not want to interact with her, instead Ririka felt worse the longer Mary seemed to be giving her the silent treatment. Ririka didn't know if it was because deep down she just couldn't bring herself to recognize that Mary really didn't want to interact with her. It had gotten to the point where Ririka almost felt dizzy... Actually, the dizziness felt very real, noticed the girl whose mind suddenly felt really weird.

Ririka realized that the dizziness didn't come from her guilt but instead that the mixture showed first effects. The white haired girl felt really weird as the hallway for a moment seemed to bend almost like a snake in front of her. All of a sudden Ririka lost her balance because of the dizziness and tripped. Ririka had not been prepared for that, yet fortunately she barely caught herself before falling making a loud sound in the process. Ririka breathed in sharply and stopped walking, the dizziness seemed to only last a short period as Ririka felt more or less normal now.
