At long last the two once more entered the still almost empty infirmary. The afternoon sun was already showing signs of wanting to initiate the evening, demonstrable by the empty white infirmary beds which appeared to be almost amber colored due to the exceptional lighting coming from the low sun. Mary took a deep breath of relief "Finally we are back." The blonde girl felt like they had just reached a safe place. "I could use a rest as well." noticed Mary that her legs felt tired from running through the hallways, "But first I should take care of Ririka." Mary looked at Ririka who still seemed to be a complete mess.

Ririka seemed to have already said everything there was to say as she now was quiet and seemed to stare into nothingness. "Come, let's sit you down." Mary walked to a bed and helped Ririka to sit down by sliding from under Ririkas arm, which had been on Mary's shoulder and then carefully letting the whitehaired girl sit down. Ririka didn't protest against any of that, however she didn't let go of Mary's hand either. Mary slowly went into a half crouch and looked at Ririka directly. Dried tears were still all over Ririka's face and her nose was running. Ririkas hands were dirty as she probably had fallen a few times, before finding Mary, on the floor. For some reason there seemed to have been spilled coffee on Ririkas school uniform. "She probably ran into someone..." guessed Mary.

"Hmm?" Ririka seemed to be confused as to why Mary was staring at her. "She definitely didn't care at all how she was looking while crying in the hallway." Mary smiled slightly amused back at the not so polished anymore girl. However at the same time Mary prevented herself as much as possible from imagining how terrible it must have been for Ririka as the guilt would probably stop Mary from working rationally. "It's nothing" reassured the blonde girl, "I help you get your blazer off, you probably shouldn't stay in that" Mary talked about the still soaked school jacket with coffee stains. "I'll probably need her to let go off my hand for that." Mary had dragged it out as much as possible, but now she unhappily had to pull her hand away from Ririkas grasp. "At least she seems to be fine with it." Mary was thankful that Ririka didn't try to stop it as Mary would not have known what to do if that would have been the case. Mary then slowly started unbuttoning Ririkas blazer.

At first Mary didn't think anything of it yet half way through Mary noticed that her face was burning. Mary at first was confused by her own reaction yet it didn't take long for Mary to realize "Wait am I really undressing Ririka right now?" Mary's hands stopped moving and her mind seemed to go crazy. "...What! No! What am I even talking about! I'm just taking her jacket off! Nothing more! Why do I think about stuff like this?" Mary took a deep breath to calm herself down. Although it should have been no problem, all of a sudden Mary felt discomforted. To see how Ririka was affected by this, Mary looked up to Ririka, who observed the blonde girl with an interested look yet seemed to not have any concerns at all. Mary turned even redder and quickly looked back at the buttons. "I wonder how Ririka would have reacted if she wasn't on drugs...Doesn't matter! I still shouldn't be this embarrassed about taking Ririkas blazer off!" tried Mary to argue with herself. Somehow Mary managed to unbutton all buttons by just enduring the feeling of discomposure.

"See that wasn't that hard..." lied Mary to herself. After putting the jacket away on a chair Mary looked at Ririka who still wasn't saying anything. Mary still wanted to do something "They should have hand towels around here..." expected Mary.

"I will be right back Ririka!'' told Mary the whitehaired girl before turning around and disappearing behind a corner.

As there still were no adults around, Mary felt free to browse through the infirmary's drawers at her own will. "Where are the hand towels? An infirmary at a school where people can lose body parts on a daily basis, should have some of those right?" However right after Mary realized that hand towels probably didn't help a lot with missing fingers, "Even so..." Luckily after a few more tries, Mary opened a big cabined which was filled with clean towels in different sizes. "There they are! I already saw the sinks so now I just have to hold the towels under water..." Mary, pleased about having found the towels, walked to one of the sinks and opened the faucet. Meanwhile Ririka who had involuntarily drifted away with her mind all of a sudden seemed to return to her confusing reality for a moment as she noticed that something was missing.
