Ririka cumbersomely and slowly opened her eyelids. The whitehaired girl just woke up from a long feeling slumber.

"Where am I?"

Ririkas mind seemed to still not have woken up completely. Without moving her head she started scanning with her scintillating aquamarine eyes through the room where she had woken up in. The room was pitch dark as it already seemed to be the dead of night. Ririkas eyes had yet not adjusted themselves to the duskiness, resulting in her not being able to see anything. The only noticeable light source seemed to be located above Ririkas head. It turned out to be a window intromitting some silvery moonlight, and thus brightening the room a little. However the seemingly quiet night sky must have been substantially cloudy as the amount of moonlight entering was almost pathetic, especially as it supposedly should have been a full moon that night. After a while Ririkas eyes were adjusted enough to the dark to let her recognize some outlines. Ririka looked only with her eyes around and noticed that there seemed to be multiple beds in front of her.

Ririkas body still seemed very weak so she wasn't moving at all. Besides the bed the only recently awoken could also recognize some medical equipment in the background. Ririkas senses seemed to slowly come back as her mind appeared to gradually wake up as well. "Oh... I must be in the infirmary..." realized the vice president slightly confused. The whitehaired girl tried her hardest to remember why she was here. "Right...there was the gamble... and then Mary brought me to the infirmary, before going to her class and... and then I woke up here." Everything was still a little blurry in Ririkas mind, however inherently nothing seemed to be wrong with waking up in the infirmary as it also was the last place Ririka remembered to have been in. She continued to look around with her eyes and noticed that she seemed to be alone at first glance. The whitehaired girl let out a faint sigh before smiling relieved yet slightly saddened.

"Seems like everything went as planned..." assumed Ririka. Ririka was definitely happy that she appeared to have not caused any more trouble. "It's already night, so school definitely is over... I will just rest here a little more before going home..." decided the vice president calmly.

"Mary probably already went home..." deduced Ririka logically. It didn't take long for Ririka to be already thinking about the blonde girl. The whitehaired girl had to smile gently just thinking about Mary. "I wonder if she came to the infirmary after school to see me... probably not. I know that she had a lot of work to do and she probably was too annoyed to want to visit me anyway..." Ririka didn't really like that thought at all , however in total she still was mostly content about how things turned out. "I still should be able to repair my relationship with Mary. But if she would have stayed, I doubt I would have had a chance."

Although Ririkas mind was telling her that it had been the right choice to not let Mary stay, it still hurt a little deep down. "Did the drug even do anything?" Ririka still had no memories of how it felt to be drugged. "It's way overdue to think about it anyway, it already happened." tried Ririka to find peace of mind. Ririkas eyes still couldn't completely process the lacking amount of light so it still was incredibly dark, however Ririka was not scared or even feeling lonely as just the thought of Mary was comforting enough. Ririka closed her eyes tranquilly and decided to rest a little more. "At this point it already makes no difference if I stay here for five more minutes and let my body completely wake up..."

As Ririka closed her eyes the duskiness in the room turned into complete darkness. Ririka took a deep calm breath before just listening carefully to the silence around her with closed eyes. A few minutes passed, however after a while of just listening attentively Ririka slowly opened her eyes as her blood started freezing simultaneously. Ririka stopped breathing as she knew that something was extremely wrong. The darkness in the room all of a sudden seemed like a vicious enemy as it was concealing what Ririka was terrified of.
