DAY THREE - All We Want

The rigid cabin air
It's not fair,
How one can stay so long outside a country yet still call it home
The blood-soaked streets we used to roam
Fleeing seems cowardly
Genocide and execution committed haphazardly
God save our country we plead
The murder of our innocent women and children, an unforgivable deed
We just want to live freely
Really?
That's all we want
That's all we want.

"Our homelands were destroyed by earthquakes and a flood"
Our homelands were destroyed by the destruction of our Iranian blood
The spirits of the deceased radiate through our revolution
We beg and beg for a fair resolution
Bullets and Bombs is all we hear
We just want to live away from fear
That's all we want
That's all we want

Think back to our history
The most powerful kings and queen, a fabled story
Think back to the time where women were free,
to learn and grow filled with nothing but glee
Our schools and universities packed with the best and the brightest
Our schools and universities now pack with poisonous gases, an untimely test.
To expand and grow was the goal
To destroy and ruin is now what rests in my sole.
Always portrayed as the vile and villainous
We just want back our happiness
That's all we want
That's all we want
