Nature's Fury Rises

Lost in the city's constant hum,

I feel the anger of concrete and steel.

Man has taught his world to hate,

Nature that struggles to reveal.

Unaware man, in his chaotic race,

As the buildings grow ever tall.

Nature's fury rises, in silent space,

Her creatures resenting man's gall.

As the pollution soars, and the air turns gray,

As the oceans choke, and the forests fall.

Soars the wrath of Nature's array,

At man, who fails to hear her call.

She is sickened by man's destruction,

By his unquenchable thirst for more.

Sick of his ego and his construction,

That ravages the land to its core.

Man must learn to walk with care,

To tread lightly on the earth below.

Nature will heal, with time to spare,

If man takes time to let it grow.
