Oh, let me tell a tale so old,

Of God and Eve, and sin foretold.

From Adam's rib, Eve was made,

To be his love, his lifelong aid.

God gave them life and free will,

But warned of one fruit to not fulfill.

Yet, Eve listened to the serpent's lies,

And brought upon humanity's demise.

God, in his wisdom, did decree,

Pain in childbirth and toil would be,

For Eve and all her daughters too,

An eternal burden, forever true.

But wait, there's more to this story yet,

For Eve was blamed, a great upset.

She led Adam astray, it was her fault,

Even though he could have said "halt!".

Thank you, God, for this great plan,

Making woman the cause of all man's sin.

Punishing us forevermore,

For something we didn't even do before.

Oh, what a tale to be told,

Of God and Eve, so young and old.
