Until the Lions Learn to Write

Amidst the grassy plains where lions roam,

And hunters seek to claim their throne,

A tale unfolds, one we know too well,

Of victory and triumph, their stories we tell.

But what of the lions, those regal beasts,

Whose tales are never told, and whose glories cease?

Do they not have their own story to tell,

Of struggles and triumphs, of a life lived well?

For until the lions learn to write,

Their tales will be lost, their glory eschewed,

And the hunters will remain, in the story of the hunt,

As victors and heroes, with no opposition to confront.
