"Take her wherever she's going. I need you both to keep an eye on her. Make sure she doesn't see you guys. And if that man she's going on a date with tries anything, just intervene," I instructed Luca and Tristian.

"Okay," they replied in unison.

LUCA
We dropped her off at her friend's house. To make it seem like we left, we circled the block and parked the car two houses before her friend's place.

A few minutes later, as we waited, a matte black Lamborghini sped past us and screeched to a halt in front of Naomi's destination. A man in a black tuxedo stepped out. I squinted, trying to place where I'd seen him before.

I glanced at Tristian, who was also studying the man intently.

"Tristian, doesn't he look familiar?" I asked.

"Yeah, I recognize him, but I can't quite place him," he replied.

He walked around the front of the car, leaning against the passenger door, and pulled out his phone to text someone.

NAOMI

My phone buzzed with a notification from Connor.

Connor: I'm outside.

Me: I'll be out in a second.

He sent a thumbs-up emoji in response.

"He's here," I announced to Aubrey, who squealed in excitement.

"Okay, well, hurry up and go see him. I'll be watching from the window," she said, already heading towards the door.

I shot her a stern look, and she nodded in acknowledgment.

Taking a deep breath, knowing it was my first date in years, I opened the front door. Connor was leaning against his car, hands in his pockets. He looked exceptionally handsome in his sharp black tuxedo, which complemented his eyes.

As soon as he heard the door open, his gaze snapped to me, and he slowly scanned me from head to toe. He licked his lips, a smirk forming on his face.

"Oh my, he likes what he sees," Aubrey gushed like a fangirl, getting overly excited.

I was tempted to smack her.

"I love you, I'll see you soon," I said to Aubrey.

"I love you."

I closed the door behind me and walked towards Connor, who maintained his smirk.

"Hello, beautiful," he greeted.

"Hello, Connor," I replied, smiling back.

"You look absolutely gorgeous," he complimented.

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself," I teased, and he chuckled.

He led us back to the car, opened the door for me, and I thanked him with a smile. After I got in, he closed the door and circled around to the driver's side.

Starting the car, he broke the silence after a while.

"So, do you have anyone who holds your heart?" he asked, stealing a glance at me.
