2: A New Solution

Just like yesterday, I do my morning workout religiously. I'm certain my body would deteriorate without proper training equipment if I keep this for longer, but I'd surely degrade even faster if I just lazed around all day. This is better than doing nothing, for now.

Actually, a gym would be more preferable than my previous plans of buying my own equipment. Was there a fitness gym around here somewhere? I should ask Tenshi-san when I get the time.

Munching on my half-finished peanut butter sandwich, I sit down on my rickety office chair and face my computer. I've already booted it up in advance so I wouldn't have to wait forever for it to load.

Like a daily ritual, I check my twitch channel first, even though I knew there wouldn't be any progress in it at all. And what do you know, I was mistaken... in a bad way.

I lost a follower. This isn't just a lack of progress but a setback altogether. I've lost 25% of my followers... Oh, the horror. The life of a streamer truly is a rocky mountain to climb, just as the landlady warned me.

I check my chatbox, and it was just Tenshi-san's previous messages yesterday. She told me earlier that she'll be away on some business for today, so she won't be watching... Looks like I'll be alone this time.

How extremely exciting. I'm literally shaking in excitement right now... or not.

Sigh.

...
..
.

I started my empty stream and went to chess.com right away, but... for some reason, I can't open my account anymore. It says my password or username is incorrect, but I'm 100% sure I'm not mistaken.

I check my email just in case, and what I found was extremely disheartening.

I received a notice from chess.com about my account's suspension. Apparently, I jinxed myself yesterday and got myself in trouble. What was the reason? Was it the unnaturally high and consistent accuracy? My sharp increase in ranking? Or maybe it's my 100% winrate?

...Wait, what in the world am I saying. It's all of those three combined, isn't it?

What a bummer. Does this mean I can't play for today? My fans would be saddened to hear this.

Just then, I remembered what Tenshi-san told me yesterday. She said I could make an appeal, right? How does one exactly make an appeal in this situation?... Maybe I can just email them back?

"I'd like to make an appeal regarding my account's recent suspension. How can I prove my innocence?"

This seems about right. I hit send and stare at my screen.

And stare.

And stare...

Just before I thought they wouldn't answer, a reply reached me as if on cue.

"Hello Mr./Mrs. Kiyobaka-' My email is also named Kiyobaka... I'm sure you know by now who named it that way as well. 'We've heard your response and we would like to help you. First, if you don't mind, we would like to have your..."

They went on to demand personal things like my real name, age and whatnot, while assuring me it will be kept confidential. This is most likely a screening of some sort, as a fraud wouldn't want to have their identities to be revealed at all. I answered each of their questions as best as I could.

I'm glad they didn't ask for something like a birth certificate or something... because I literally don't have one.

'Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Ayanokoji. We'll be processing your appeal for a few minutes. We'll be in touch in a moment."
