Victor.

"You must be crazy! In your dreams" She spat. I thought as much. Even for the fact that she's at a tough edge, she won't back down. I was shocked at her action last night. I didn't expect her to lock the door. And who was the one complaining that she will not stay in the house. Not that I have a problem with sleeping on the sofa. But the fact that she wants to test my patience. I know she did it on purpose. To piss me off or make me angry.

"Then all the best" I uttered fishing out the car key, unlock the car and got in. Two can play the hot headed game. There's no way she will get to her destination fast. One thing that is scarce around the area is the lack of taxis. That is why few people live there. Since she choose to be stubborn, I will make her succumb to the lifestyle I want. She's too spoilt.

By the time I pulled up the car out of the driveway, I sighted her on the farther side of the road. "She doesn't know what she's getting herself into" I mumbled. I intentionally stepped on the accelerator and drove past her. From the rear mirror, I sighted her throwing her fist in the air. A chuckle escaped me as I shake my head.

I drove to Elena's father's company. It's better to set things straight once and for all. I know my plans and motive. Getting to the third floor where his office is located wasn't that hard. "Hello" I popped my head through the door. Mr. Carter is the only one in his office.

"Come in" He said shortly. I occupied the visitor's seat stuffing one hand inside my pocket. "Good morning Sir" I commenced as cool as I can. The man shot me a curious look. Maybe wondering what I'm up to now. I couldn't help the smile that found it's way out of my lips.

"Mr. Carter, we're now family. I don't think you should worry yourself anymore regarding your daughter. I've given you my word that I will protect her. As her bodyguard and her husband"

Wow. How that sounded smooth from my mouth.

"You think you can?" He said arching a brow. "Why not? Don't you trust me anymore"

He intertwined his hands on the desk. "Look Victor, the reason why I agreed to this alliance apart from that topic is because I know the kind of person you are" I couldn't help but get nervous inside at his last statement. Did he found out about my background. I left no traces of my real identity. There's no way he would find out. No one was able to.

"You were recommended to me due to your high profile. No one can beat you when it comes to your job"

The corner of my lips twitched up. Thank God he knows about that. "But why would you take my daughter to a cheap house. What is the use of giving you the house"

Perfect timing. So she did call her father. Daddy's girl.

"Mr. Carter, as you know your daughter's responsibilities is in my hands now. We might not be on good terms now. But there's something I want your daughter to realize"

"Realize?" He repeated with curiosity dancing in his eyes.

"Respect" I uttered. "I'm sorry to say this to your face but your daughter lacks respect. She thinks money can solve everything. You know that respect is very important. When you respect people you get respected in return. I can tolerate every insults. But what I want her to understand is that humanity" I guess I left him speechless. The man was only looking at me.

"I don't know what to say after hearing all this. Getting angry will not make a difference. What I want from you is not to hurt my daughter. You know how important she is to me"

"I know that pretty well Mr. Carter. That is why I don't want you to interfere in my responsibilities. I appreciate your gift but I have the means to take care of your daughter. Anyways, that's not what we're here to discuss right?" I changed the topic. Bigger matters are on ground than Elena's problems.
