Everything has been running smoothly; there hasn't been much trouble, and its been quieter than Y/N had anticipated. Typically, Y/N would be completing whatever task was on their to-do list, such as going grocery shopping, cleaning, or playing video games on their console. They couldn't do much of that cause.. Y/N was currently seated in front of Wally, who gazed intently at the green apple, while wearing a mild face of uncertainty. It's already been 10 minutes of nothingness and Y/N wondered why they seemed so unsure about what to do. "Are you going to eat it?" Y/N spoke up after waiting 5 more minutes to see if something would change. Wally responded with a tense smile in response to Y/N's question. "I am, but.. are you sure this is an apple?" Wally asked while holding the fruit in both of his hands.

Y/N nodded but it still seem like Wally was pessimistic about it. Perhaps they needed a little pep talk. "Come on, come on.. This is a green apple! It's the same as a red one, give it a shot, it's fine." Y/N reassured that it wasn't poisoned or anything. Maybe green apples do not exist where Wally is, because Y/N has only seen red apples centered on what Wally is certain to like. Wally appeared to sigh slightly, now having the courage to take a bite...with their eyes? Wally hummed in satisfaction as a piece of the apple vanished. Y/N blinked twice as they watched an apple have little pieces bitten out of it without using a mouth; it was strange enough to see it in person and crazier that it was actually true.

It didn't take long for the apple to be completely gone, with only the stem left, which Wally was holding. "I'm not used to seeing apples this color, but you reassured me." He shifted his sight from Y/N, directing the stem toward them. "Thank you very much, Y/N. You simply are the most~" After hearing this from Wally, Y/N grabbed the stem and unintentionally brushed up against Wally's finger. Y/N looked at the eaten apple, thinking it could be a good moment to ask as to what in the world happened to it. "How did you do that? You literally stared at it, and it- was gone bit by bit? Doesn't that hurt?" Y/N questioned Wally, who appeared to pause for a moment.

"Ah.. would you like to find out?" Wally spoke abruptly, placing the finger Y/N brushed across on his lips. When Y/N nodded slowly and nervously, Wally smiled briefly before laying his yellow hands on Y/N's face to hold. Perhaps this wasn't such a smart plan, because when Y/N slid the stem onto their lap, their gaze couldn't escape Wally's piercing stare. Those eyes appear to be filled with admiration. After a few minutes passed with nothing happening, Y/N wondered if this type of thing took a long time to do. Y/N was about to open their mouth to speak when they felt a small pressure on their forehead. It felt weird, like, receiving a soft kiss but without any physical contact.

"How was it, did it hurt?" Wally purred, caressing Y/N's face with his hands. It felt quite human, velvety and mushy to him. Y/N lost their train of thought and became rather flustered as a result. "Uh, no? It was nice, but—" Wally's cheerful voice cut Y/N off. He was relieved to hear Y/N's response. "I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've been meaning to do this." Y/N was taken aback by this, as they had not expected Wally to want to do such a thing, especially since they had only recently met. Y/N let out a short sigh and smiled at Wally as they picked up the stem from their lap once more. They were still unsure if they should trust them yet but they planned to go about this day little by little.

"All right—. Lemme throw this thing out for you." Y/N observed Wally nod as he moved their hands away from their face. With a tiny grunt, Y/N rose from their bedroom floor and extended their arms out for a bit to relieve the tension. So far, Wally has been attentive and has remained in Y/N's bedroom. Perhaps threatening to bash their head again made them nervous on the inside. Y/N walked out the bedroom door and down the hallway to the linked living area, where the kitchen was located. They stepped on the trash can's pedal, causing the lid to pop open, and tossed the apple stem inside. Y/N hadn't had their breakfast yet because they were preoccupied with Wally literally in their home. Guess it was time for them to sit down and relax.

Y/N had made a bowl of their favorite cereal and put two slices of bread in the toaster, pulling the lever down so it could warm up. Y/N walked up to their small kitchen table, sat on the chair, and placed their cereal bowl in front of them. They swished the cereal around with their spoon, taking a generous portion to put in their lips. Y/N came to a halt for a minute as they heard footsteps from across the room and turned to the side to discover Wally standing in front of them. "What are you doing?" Wally inquired, his gaze drawn to the bowl of cereal on the table, its contents, and the spoon in Y/N's hand.

"I'm..eating my breakfast." Y/N clarified, stating the obvious. There was some silence after that, perhaps because it was embarrassing to ask but it may could have been an excuse. "All right, then." Y/N heard Wally respond, then saw them grab a chair and clamber upon it to sit at the table. "Couldn't you just stay in the bedroom?" Y/N inquired of Wally, knowing that they had not said anything to him after they had departed to throw the apple away. It was better to keep him in one place, but since they were in Y/N's house, this was the only place they could stay for the time being. "It was lonely without you, neighbor. I feel so much better when I'm around you." Wally responded monotonously, holding his face up with his palm similar to the position of where he sat in his huge chair on the website.

Y/N was once again at a loss for words. They weren't sure what to say in response. This dude got serious charisma. Y/N ignored this by eating their cereal awkwardly. It took them a time to gather their thoughts, turning their gaze elsewhere. "I don't mind you being here in the kitchen, but don't we need to figure out how to get you home?" Y/N replied, nibbling on the sliver spoon's tip. Wally began to kick his legs on the seat for a split second, thinking about it. "Home would be concerned..." He stated quietly. Y/N felt as if he was avoiding the topic in some way, as if going back wasn't a huge deal at the moment.

"You know that wasn't what I—" The toaster went off, forcing them to look over to the kitchen counter by the sink. Wally was mildly surprised as well, looking back at the source of the sound. They were cut off twice in a row. Y/N slid the spoon into the bowl before rising from their chair and walking around the freestanding island to get the finished pieces of bread from the toaster. Y/N took a flat plate from the cabinet before unplugging the toaster to avoid getting shocked while retrieving the pieces with a fork.

After properly placing the two toasts on the flat plate, Y/N used the fork to apply their favorite spread across the surface of the toast. It was the nearest thing on hand, and wasting a knife was not an option. While doing so, Y/N felt a gaze on the back of their head, prompting them to swivel their head to look at Wally. It was causing them anxiety, like it had done the day before. Wally appeared to turn his head away before Y/N could catch him in the act, instead shifting his gaze across the living space. Y/N earned a little sweat form on their temple before returning their attention back to the toasts.

Eventually, Y/N took the plate to the table and placed it in the center of the table before settling back into their seat. Wally was still wandering their eyes around the room before turning his gaze to the platter of warm, fresh bread. A tiny cloud of steam emerged from the toasts, filling the room with a pleasant aroma. After only a few minutes, Y/N can tell that Wally is genuinely interested in having one. Y/N ate their breakfast in peace, fortunately empty now because it wasn't that much cereal in the first place. They stood up again, this time to put their bowl in the sink to wash later in the day. As Y/N turned around to approach the table, they saw the two pieces of toast they left on the table was completely gone and Wally turning their head away with a satisfied grin.

Y/N stood there for a moment, peering at the few crumbs that remained on the plate, before darting their gaze squarely at Wally. "I left for a one minute. One. And you've already finished the toast?" Y/N spoke up, resting their palm on the checkerboard tablecloth. Looking over at Y/N on his seat, Wally made a small smug face. "Whaat~..? No, no, no...not true at all." Y/N peered around the house as though there was someone else magically there, then returned his gaze to Wally. "Yeah- you're lying to me right now." They stated. "Not at all~." Wally answered promptly, placing his palm on top of the Y/Ns on the table. The bread was more important to Y/N than their hand contact.

"You literally just ate—" Y/N sighed heavily as Wally continued to avoid his devious crime. "I can't hear you, la la la. I didn't take anything~.." Wally murmured in a little singing voice, even if it was fairly monotone, as he cupped his own cheek with his free hand and dismissedively turned the other way. "Yes you did. I literally saw you eyeing—" Y/N began, only for Wally to turn around and lay a finger over Y/N's lips to hush them. "You have no proof." Wally's black eyes widened as he spoke softly.

At this point, Y/N was about this close to chucking this puppet across the room.
