I suggested to Elrond that we get all the books he has on Laathrion and then between the two of us,go threw them all and see what we can learn
"It is a good idea Y/n,although some of the books are written in elvish" Elrond tells me
"Well if I get one of those book,I shall hand it to the expert" I tell him,I am still learning elvish. Seeing as that isn't a priority with me,I hadn't actually learnt much. Of course Elrond can't guarantee how long he can do this with me,as something may require his attention more.

Elrond took the books from his bookshelf that he knew contained information about Laathrion, as he is doing so I picked up the first book and began to look threw it. After a few pages of information about how Laathrion got its name,the next lot of pages turned to elvish
"That's interesting" I say
"What is?" Elrond asks looking up from the book he is holding
"This book started off normal but has now changed to elvish" I tell him.

"How is this interesting Y/n? Several books are like that?" Elrond asked me
"Because who ever wrote the elvish, didn't write the start of this book" I say,Elrond comes and stands beside me and I hand him the book
"I see what you mean,this might very well be the book I mentioned before" Elrond tells me
"Well how about that" I say,I watch as the elf lord skims over the first few pages and then looks at the elvish
"This is indeed interesting, not only was this person fluent in elvish they where also a woman" Elrond said
"How on Middle Earth can you tell that?" I ask him confused.

"Because my dear friend it says so" Elrond tells me"Which I believe I taught you in your first elvish lesson"
"So you did" I admit sheepishly, before anything else is said there is a knock to the door
"Come in" Elrond says,and in walks Lindir
"Sorry to interrupt Lord Elrond but there is a visitor here to see you" Lindir said
"Did they say where they had journeyed from?" Elrond asks closing the book and putting it on his desk
"Yes they are from Laathrion my lord" Lindir said.

"There not here for me are they?" I ask worriedly
"I do not know Y/n,they would not say" Lindir tells me
"That is most peculiar" Elrond said"Y/n I would like you to join me,you might be able to tell me who this visitor is"
"I will certainly try" I say as I follow Elrond out of his study"but keep in mind they may have arrived after I left". The two of us follow Lindir to where this mysterious visitor is. I couldn't think why someone from Laathrion would come to Rivendell,they didn't like elves so it is certainly suspicious.

The three of us arrived in the hall and I stood to the side as Elrond and Lindir walked over to the visitor, I moved so I could see who this person is. The visitor is a young woman,she has medium length red hair and is short in height. She didn't look familiar to me at all.

Elrond's P.O.V

I looked at the woman in front of me
"This is Lord Elrond" Lindir said to the woman
"Forgive my unexpected arrival my lord,but I'm here on important business" the woman said to me
"Lindir tells me you are here from Laathrion, that is quiet the journey you have made" I say
"It is my lord,I'm here on behalf of my master" the woman said "my name is Meadow"
"Do you speak of Avii the master of Laathrion?" I ask her
"No my lord,my master is not Avii" Meadow says"My master wishes to know if Y/n is here?"

"If you master isn't Avii,who is he then?" I ask
"That I can not say,unless you can tell me Y/n is here" Meadow said, this didn't make much sense to me. Why would someone send this woman here to look for Y/n but wish to remain anonymous
"I'm afraid I can not tell you if Y/n is here,not without learning your masters name" I tell Meadow, I have no intention of placing Y/n in danger.

"We seem to be at a cross roads my lord" Meadow said
"Unless your master wishes to let me know who he is,I can't not tell you if Y/n is here or not as I do not wish to place my people at risk" I say
"Your people are safe my lord" Meadow said
"I will not take the risk,this all seems rather odd to me" I say
"I will return to my master and tell him your words" Meadow said,Lindir escorted her from the room and Y/n walked over to me.

"That really was unusual" she said to me
"Indeed it was" I agree " did you recognize the woman at all?"
"No I haven't seen her before" Y/n said" what makes this worse is why has someone come to find me now. I have been left Laathrion for years"
"Hopefully we can find out,if this mysterious master of Meadows allows us to know who they are" I say
"And what they want with me."
