I sat and thought long into the night, but came up with nothing. I couldn't get out the front door as the men that brought me are there, and there is no one close by to signal to for help. I had also checked the floor of the room to find a way out but there isn't one. There is the one window in the room but beyond that is a forrest but it doesn't lead the way I want to go,plus at the present can't get the window open. For now I will have to stay put and hope I can find a way out tomorrow,I lay down and went to sleep.

Meanwhile back in Rivendell

Elrond's P.O.V

I have as many people as I can out looking for Y/n,Gandalf is searching to the east,Aragron to the west and myself to the north around Rivendell. I had left Arwen in charge of Rivendell with Lindir,Gladrieal had returned to her home but would keep an eye out for any information about Y/n. I slowed my horse as I came upon a split pathway,we had been out for hours and I know my men would want to go home soon. I didn't though I want to keep going.

The six men I had brought with me all came to a stop behind me,one of them approached
"My Lord it is going to be dark soon,we won't be able to see anything" he said
"Then return to Rivendell if you wish" I said and walked my horse forward again. I didn't want to give up,not yet anyway. I managed to search for a few more miles before the sun went down and I couldn't see anything in front of me anymore. Reluctantly I turned my horse back to Rivendell.

Upon my arrival back home,Arwen is waiting for me on the steps. I dismounted my horse and a groom lead him back to the stable,as I walked up the steps my daughter spoke
"I take from the fact that your men came back before you, that you didn't find anything?"
"Sadly not" I said as the two of us walked inside" It's not going to be easy to find any trace of what happened to Y/n,she could have been taken in any direction "
"Indeed father, but as soon as Aragorn returns we can see if he has any news for you " Arwen said.

"Has there been any word from Gandalf?" I asked
"Not yet no,but you know him" Arwen said,we walked down the corridor towards my study. I opened the door and walked into the room and over to my desk, where on top I had a map of the surrounding area of Rivendell and each different place that has or is being searched. I marked how far I had been today, and it wasn't as far as I wanted to be
"I need to cover more ground " I said mainly to myself
"What you need is to eat and then get some sleep " Arwen said joining me.

"What good will that do?" I asked not looking at her
"It will do you good, and that way you will be alert and ready for tomorrow " Arwen said
"After Aragron has returned then I will eat and sleep is debatable" I say finally looking up from the map
"I want you to at least try to sleep" Arwen said " I know you are worried but you will be no help to anyone half asleep"
"I know daughter" I said, just then Aragron returned.

"I come bearing both good and bad news" Aragon said
"Start with the good,my father needs some kind of good news" Arwen said
"I have learnt who let the people into Rivendell" Aragorn said
"Who?" I asked
"A woman by the name of Meena, she is by chance friends with a woman called Meadow" Aragorn said
"Meadow is the name of the woman that came here and asked about Y/n" I said
"That can't be a coincidence, can it?" Arwen asked
"What's the bad news?" I asked
"Meena has disappeared somewhere inside Rivendell" Aragorn said.

"Then search for her" I said
" I asked Lindir upon my return and the search is being carried out as we speak" Aragron said,I had know that Meadow asking about Y/n was potentially bad news, but why would she kidnapp her. What did Meadow stand to gain from this?
