"That's all for our meeting today.", I stopped taking notes as I put my pen down. I had just shifted where I was seated and was about to stretch my legs under the long table when the President spoke again. Shit, I thought that was it!

"Apologies. I almost forgot to inform everyone that my son will be arriving next week. As what I said before, he is the one who will take over the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) here in this company. I'm hoping that things will run smoothly under his leadership. I wish my son could experience the same kind of comfort and company I had from everyone here.", the President said.

I suddenly feel sad not because there is a new CEO but because the President just told me earlier that I will be the one who will guide his son until he is really capable of handling his position. He also have enough knowledge about how to run and manage a business. Kaya na niya 'yon. Malaki na siya.

I took a deep breath. Here I am, complaining again but I'll do it anyway.

The meeting has already ended. I moved forward as I followed the President into his office. He sat down on his swivel chair and opened his laptop.

"This is all the important things I jotted down earlier, Mr. President.", I said as I put my notepad on his table.

"Okay, just leave it there. I'll take a look at it later.", he said. His eyes fixed on the laptop.

"Tapos na po lahat ng meetings and appointments niyo today but you still have a lot of documents to sign, Sir.", I said.

"Okay, get it and place it here on my table.", he said while he's still working on his laptop.

I went out of his office to get all the documents he needed to sign and put them on his desk. I am about to leave his office when he speaks.

"Hija, If you don't have anything else to do, take a break. I know you're already tired because our schedule has been going on all day."

Yeah, I am really exhausted. I've been going back and forth everywhere, standing all day and just taking a seat when we were inside the conference room. I looked at my wristwatch, it's 3:26 p.m.. I haven't had lunch yet.

"I'm good, Sir. No worries po, kaya ko pa po ito.", I chuckled to make it seem real.

"Ikaw talagang bata ka!", I simply winked, making us both chuckle.

"Sir, If you need anything just give me a ring on intercom.", I said while smiling before walking out of his office.

Mr. Nicolas is in his 60's. He's the President of this company. He decided to send his son back to the Philippines and give him the position of CEO here so that he can get used to it and know all the ins and outs of the entire company because no one else will inherit it but only his son. I've been working here for almost 3 years but I still haven't seen or met his son. His son's working independently abroad but now, as what I said he has to go back here to fulfill his duties as CEO. I know his name but I have forgotten the other details about him.

It was such a long tiring week. Finally, I can rest this weekend. This week's agenda was quite hectic. It's a relief that it was already over.

"I can finally get some rest tonight.", 'yong totoong pahinga. I laid my body down on my bed. I'm just scrolling through my phone till I fall asleep. I don't have plans this weekend. All I have to do is clean my space and do the laundry.

I woke up early this morning. I put on my earrings and my wristwatch. I looked at myself in the body mirror. I'm wearing a silk bow-tie white blouse and a pencil-cut skirt. It hugs my body perfectly. I'm also done with my makeup. I get a bag as well as my blazer. I left my room and put on my black stilettos that I took from the shoe rack. I locked the door of my condo and went to the parking lot. I got into my car and drove off to work.

Today is the new CEO's arrival. We gathered at the front door of the company to welcome him. I suddenly felt nervous when a luxurious car stopped in front of us. A man got out of the driver's seat and opened the door for the person sitting in the passenger seat. I caught my breath when a handsome and muscular man came out. Is he really the new CEO?

Nakalimutan ata ako sabihan ni Mr. Nicolas na may anak pala siyang ganitong ka-gwapo. Single kaya 'to? Tangina, ang gwapo talaga.

Luluhuran, pagsisilbihan, paglilingkuran, dadasalan, mamahalin, at aasawahin. Add to heart ko na 'to.

“A warm welcome, Mr. Sanford.”, We greeted him politely. He nodded and smiled but it didn't reach his eyes

“Thank you!”, he said in a serious and deep voice.

He checked everything, even the monthly records from years ago. He needs to analyze them. That's why he asked for so many documents.

“Can you get the record of the financial statements from three years ago?”, he said when I put on his table the documents he asked for earlier.

Wala bang balak magpahinga 'to.

“Okay, Mr. Sanford.”, I said. I have no choice but to give him those records. He's going to look at the comparison of financial statements from years ago to see if anything has changed in the net profit from then until now.

I turned and walked out of his office. I just rolled my eyes in annoyance. I have to bear with it. It's my job.

Buti nalang gwapo siya.
