CHASE'S POV

When Amaya and I came home, she went upstairs. Did I really just call her that? Bellissima? Beautiful?

Well, it's not like it's a lie. She is indeed beautiful. I suddenly heard my name being called; "Chase!" It was my mother calling me; "Yeah?" I called back.

She came into the dining room which I was in; "I got a call and your uncle and the twins are coming." She said, with a smile on her face. "What about Amaya?" I asked; "Well I'm sure she won't mind."

My mother replied. "Besides, just because she's staying here doesn't mean she gets to be treated like a family member or a friend. She is a stranger, that you have been especially nice to. I've seen, she's caught your eye."

I looked at her with confusion and embarrassment on my face. "Son. You know I love you." She said as she came closer to me and brought her hand to my cheek; "and that I'm happy as long as your happy, but you and Amaya won't work. It's not going to happen. Everyone is going to get troubled, especially her, when she comes into our world. The mafia world."

"I don't think of her that way." I said; "I know you more than you know yourself, mio ragazzo," you're my son. And I can see the truth in your eyes." She quickly stated after my comment.

"Mom!" Eleanore's voice was heard from the bathroom. My mom took one final look at me, with a slight sad smile. Then she went to Eleanore.

I reached into my pocket and get my cigarette pack. I walked up the stairs and went into my room, straight to the balcony. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the cigarettes. I grabbed the lighter and lit one up.

Smoking. My awful addiction.

I was enjoying my smoke with a nice view, thinking about how this dinner with the twins would be, finally some fun in this house; "How many times a day do you smoke?" It was Amaya.

I turned around to face her properly. "About a whole pack." She tilted her head and walked towards me in the balcony. She leaned n the railing and looked out at the view.

"Do you know how bad that is for you?" She asked and turned her head to me; "Yes, yes, I'm aware." I answered her question. "I recommend you take a break from smoking for a little while." She said; "Why? Do you care about me?" I sarcastically asked.

"Not really, but I could still try to help you. That's my future after all. Helping helping helping." She said and smiled at me.

A moment of silence surrounded us, until she spoke; "When are you going to give me my pills."

"You mean your drugs?" I asked her. She looked at me with an evil glare. "I never said that they were drugs, you made that lie up." She turned her face toward the view again.

"Whatever. You'll get them when you go home." She sighed and rolled her eyes. 'Stop rolling those pretty little eyes of yours.' I thought to myself.

"By the way, my cousins and uncle are coming over for dinner." I told her, she should know. "Does that mean that I'll starve until they leave?" She asked me.

"No! Um, why would you think that?" I asked her. "I don't know. Maybe you don't want everyone to know about me." She replied to my question.

"Nope. You'll be eating dinner with everyone else. You'll meet the twins and my uncle." I said. "Twins, huh?" She said, with curiosity in her voice. "Yeah, pretty cool right?" I replied. She was quiet.

"Yeah." She said after a moment.

She went back inside and down the hallway. I threw away my fourth cigarette. I had six left now. I headed into my room and decided to take a shower.
