Baby sister

-Tom's pov-

"Babe" I heard a voice say at the distance. I felt my arm being moved but I didn't move

"Baby wake up" My wife y/n said, now recognising her voice

I woke up groaning, I sat up and looked at my wife, she had her nurse clothes on.

"What time is it?" I asked stretching

"It's 5:30 in the morning, I have an emergency down at the hospital. Thomas is still sleeping in his room but you have to watch him." She says before kissing my lips and quickly leaving.

I shut my eyes and go back to sleep once I heard the door being closed.

A couple hours later I heard my four year old son calling me.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Wakey, wakey!!" He said jumping on the bed.

I softly tackled him throwing him into the bed making him tickles. He was laughing and moving like crazy.

"What's up buddy?" I asked stopping the tickles and ruffling his long hair like mine.

"I'm hungry." He said still trying to catch his breath

"Then let's make you something to eat." I said standing up from the bed.

We walked out of the room and went downstairs to the kitchen.

"Do you want eggs and bacon?" I asked him

He nodded jumping up and down while clapping his hands in excitement

"Oki dokie" I said

I started making breakfast while Thomas watched some cartoon on the tv.

"Breakfast it's ready!" I shout and heard the tv went off, in a second a really hungry Thomas showed up sitting on the dinner table.

"Where's mommy?" He asked eating his bacon

"She had to work, but she'll be back soon." I reply

"Daddy I want to buy you a Christmas present." Thomas hands me his sippy cup so I can pour orange juice in it.

"I want a pair of slippers, what do you want for Christmas bud?" I ask handing him his cup

"I want a baby sister." He says making me spit out my orange juice on the sink

"Why do you want a baby sister?" I ask picking him up on my hip

"Cause I want someone to play with when I'm bored." He looks at me as if I was dumb, and not understanding his questions.

I laughed and sit him back again on his chair

"When mommy's home I'll talk to her about it and see what she says about having a baby sister, okay?" I hold out my fist and he bumps it.

"Let's go get ready to go to the playground."

It was around 8pm when Thomas felt asleep in the back of the car, and we were on our way to go pick up y/n from work since she left her car at home. Her friend picked her up this morning.

"Hey dove, how was work today?" I say kissing her lips once she was inside the car

"Really exhausting, I'm super tired." She says sighing "What did you two did today?" She asks

"We went to the playground, the zoo, the aquatic park and out for dinner, he's actually asleep in the back." I say looking back at Thomas

"He looks so cute, did anything happened?" She asks

"He wants a baby sister and I want a pair of slippers for christmas." I laughed remembering his little voice saying that.

"Well, we should start working on that little sister tonight." She joked kissing my neck

"Oh we're surely working on it tonight." I said placing my hand on her tight
