Female reader x Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth

---

You had broken up with your boyfriend a few days ago.

You didn't care though.

Your boyfriend was just some random guy you met two years ago.

But now you had to pretend like you cared, pretend that you were heartbroken and that you actually gave a shit about a random bitch.

You were at your dad's house.

Your dad died years ago and his house was left to you.

You were lying on the couch in the living room.

You had Bluetooth headphones on which were playing "Toxic" by "BoyWithUke"

"All my friends are toxic, all ambitionless, so rude, and always negative," you muttered.

"Y/N?" you heard faintly.

You opened your eyes to see Charlie and Shawn hovered over you.

You took your headphones off so that they were hanging around your neck.

"We came as soon as we heard," Charlie said frantically.

"Are you okay?" Shawn asked worriedly.

"I'm fine," you mumbled with an emotionless expression, getting up and walking off.

You went on for a few days like this; no emotion, just sad and depressed.

You weren't sleeping or eating, either.

One day, you were reading "Thunder Dog" by Michael Hingson and "Susy Flory.

Shawn and Charlie had been staying at your house since they first came.

You were lying down on the couch, book at your face, your dog lying at your feet.

Your dog let out a whimper as Shawn walked into the room and took a seat on the couch across from you.

"It's okay, buddy," you muttered, scratching your dog on the head, not taking your eyes off the book.

"She speaks," Shawn announced dramatically.

There was a long silence.

"Alright," Shawn said, clicking his pen, getting it ready to write with, in the notepad he was holding, "Therapy session."

"Before you tell me that there's no way in hell you're gonna answer anything, just know that I will not eat, drink, or sleep until you tell me. And I know you care about me too much to let me starve," he said, "How do you feel about the breakup?"

You put the book down.

"You really want honest truth?" You asked.

"Mmm-hmm," he hummed.

"You... Can suck my dick before I tell you," You said with dry sarcasm.

Shawn sighed, gave up, and walked off.

That night, at midnight, Shawn and Charlie were up for a midnight snack.

They saw you reading with the lights on.

"You gonna go to sleep?" Shawn asked as Charlie got a tub of chocolate ice cream out of the fridge.

"Not tired," you stated simply.

Shawn sighed, giving Charlie 'the look.'

Charlie immediately understood what was going on.

"Y/n," Shawn sighed.

"How long has it been since you slept?" Charlie asked.

You took your eyes off the book and looked at the two.

"A week," you mumbled, putting your eyes back on the book.

"Shit..." Shawn breathed, "How long since you ate?"

"2 weeks," You admitted.

Charlie whistled and Shawn put his hands on his hips.

They both walked to the side of the couch.

"Come, or we'll make you," Shawn stated.

You sighed and kept reading.

They both grabbed one of your arms and pulled me up.

Shawn took your arms and led you to your room while Charlie followed.

Shawn put me in bed.

"Sleep," he demanded, putting the blankets over me.

I just turned to my side away from Shawn, finally letting him win.

He silently cheered.

"Be right back," he muttered.

You could here his and Charlie's inaudible whispers outside the door.

A minute later, they both came in and laid down on both sides of you, making you blush.

God, you hated faking your emotions.

You smiled softly.

"Was that a smile?" Shawn teased.

"N-no," you lied.

"And she's blushing," Charlie giggled.

"Am not," you protested.

There was a long silence before you whispered quietly.

"Thanks."

"Your welcome," they replied in sync.
