Chapter 6
MCs POV
I have been going to.see my psychiatrist for a couple months now, Jake has been my rock throughout this whole thing. I am feeling more like my old self. It's a wonderful feeling to have. I didn't think I would ever feel this good again. It's all thanks to my psychiatrist but my biggest support has been Jake. He's been there for me every single second of the day making sure I'm okay. He's even taken time off work to spend more time with me. How the hell did I get so lucky? He's everything I've ever wanted and more. When I need space he gives it to me, when I'm feeling down he's right there next to me.
We are currently watching a movie together in bed, Jake's paused while he goes and gets the ice cream and other snacks. I love that man so much he's my world.
"Hey baby, I've got us the ice cream plus sprinkles to go on top, I've got us some crisps and chocolate. Oh and I've got you your favorite sweets. Jake put the tray down on the bed and got into bed next to MC bringing the tray forward. "I think i just fell even more in love with you" I couldn't help the smile on my face. I am so in love with this man.
Jake's POV
MC has been doing so well I have never been prouder of her, it was tough at the beginning but she got through it all. There is still some way to go but just to see how far she has come warms my heart. I decided to take a couple weeks of work so I could be there for MC when she needed me. We have been having the best time. We have been going on walks, taking trips out for the day. Now we are chilling out in bed watching films and eating junk food.
I look over at MC and she's putting so many sprinkles on her ice cream it makes me smile so much. I still haven't given up on my mission to take down the people that made my baby suffer. I have been working on something that will take them down and make them suffer for what they did. I haven't spoken to MC about this. I want to leave it a while before I involve her in this. I want to protect her as much as possible. She's my everything, my one true love.
Jake and MC both cuddle up together watching another film, both enjoying their time spent together. The next day Jake was due to go back to work he was a bit worried at first but then had an amazing idea. His work was looking for someone who could organize data entry and set up new client profiles. Jake made a phone call to his boss and told him about MC and how good she was and he gave her the job. If she was as good as Jake said then his boss would be making a lot of money.
Jake got up from his computer and went to find MC she was sitting near the window drawing. "Hey baby, what would you say if we could work together?" MC looked up with a puzzled look on her face. "I'd love that Jake but now is that ever going to happen?" Jake walked over to where MC was sitting and put an arm around her shoulder. "I've just spoken with my boss. I told him how good you are with data entry and setting up new client profiles and he has agreed to give you the job" MC looked up with wide eyes at Jake a smile spread across her face. "OMG!! Jake, you did that for me?" MC jumped from her seat and wrapped her arms around Jake's neck.
"I wanted us to work together and I always miss you even though I am in the same apartment as you" Jake looked down at MC with a smile on his face. "I love you Jake, when do I start my new job?" Jake held MC close to his chest. "You can start now. I can show you what you have to do. It's really easy when you get used to the system. MC was so happy she couldn't believe that Jake went out of his way to do this for her. Jake took hold of MCs hand leading her towards their now shared office. Jake grabbed a chair from the kitchen and let MC have his computer chair. He explained what MC would have to do and how the system worked.
MC picked up what she needed to do really quick, she was a natural Jake say next to her while she worked away. A small smile could be seen on his face as he watched MC work, a warm feeling spread throughout his body. "You're a natural at this MC" MC stopped typing to look at Jake lovingly. "That's because I've had a very good teacher not to mention he's very attractive" MC sent a wink Jake's way. MC moved closer to Jake and kissed him softly on the lips.
"Why don't we move this into the bedroom" a smirk visible on MCs face. "How could I say no to such a beautiful woman?" Jake took MCs hand leading her into the bedroom. After they had finished their intense activities they lay on each other's arms. "What time is it Jake?" Mv cuddling into Jake even more. "It's nearly 6pm why?" MC looked up at Jake with a shocked look "I better make us some dinner before it gets too late" just as MC went to get up Jake stopped her. "You're staying here with me where I can appreciate you again" Jake sent a wink MCs way as he leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.
The next morning MC woke up in Jake's arms a smile was visible on her face, Jake was still sleeping soundly. MC had an appointment to go see her physiatrist later today and she felt very positive about the apartment. She cuddled with Jake for a few more minutes before he started to wake up. "hi baby, you sleep okay?" MC placed a soft kiss on Jake's bare chest. "With you in my arms I always sleep well, did you sleep well baby?" Jake pulled MC in for a right hug. "You know for the first time in so long I slept really well" Jake couldn't help but smile at how well MC was doing.
After breakfast and showering they both got ready to head out for MCs appointment, Jake waited in the waiting area for MC to finish. He always got caught up in the computer magazines. Which he was thankful for so he could distract himself while waiting for MC to come out. An hour had passed and MC came out of the office, she walked over to Jake with a big smile on her face. "Hey baby, you look really happy" MC sat down next to Jake and kissed him on his lips. "My appointment was really good today. I feel like a whole new me life is good" Jake couldn't help but smile at how happy MC is.
MC grabbed Jake's hand and both left the office walking towards their car, once back home they went into their office and got to work. Jake had a smile on his face the whole day as he watched MC hum while she worked. It was truly an amazing sight to see. After work had finished they both went into the kitchen and Jake helped MC with dinner.
Over the next couple of weeks MC had been doing an amazing job with her work, her boss was so impressed that he put her on the same payroll as Jake. He even gave her a promotion; she was now part of Jake's team; she knew a little bit about it from what Jake had taught her. The weekend had arrived and Jake and MC decided to have Jessy and Dan over for dinner. It had been ages since they were able to hang out but now they were all free it was the perfect time.
Jake had offered to start getting things prepared while MC finished getting ready. When she came out of the bedroom she was wearing a black dress that had flecks of silver glitter on it. MC walked into the kitchen where Jake was busy with the food. "How do I look" MC turned round so Jake could see how she looked in the dress. "Oh baby, you look beautiful" Jake walked over to MC and kissed her softly on the lips. MC went into the kitchen with Jake and helped him get everything ready.
Half an hour later there was a knock at the door, Jake went to answer it he was greeted by a smiling Jessy and Dan. "Hey Jake, it's been so long, how are you?" The redhead put her arms around Jake and hugged him. '
"Hey Jessy, I'm doing good, thanks it's been too long since we saw you both'' Jake stood to one side and let them both in. "Hey hackerman it's good to see you so happy" Dan patted Jake on the shoulder. Jake closed the door and walked into the kitchen where Jessy was hugging MC. "It's so good to see you MC, how are you feeling?" MC hugged Jessy back with a smile on her face. "I'm doing really well thanks Jessy, it's all thanks to Jake" MC looked up at Jake and put her hand out for him to take.
They all sat down to dinner and had an amazing time, there was no alcohol at the table, only water and soft drinks. As the night drew to an end Jessy hugged MC tight. "Next weekend you are coming to mine and Dan's for dinner" Jessy had a big smile on her face. "We'd love to Jessy" MC hugged Jessy back and said their goodbyes. "Tonight has been amazing" MC had a big smile on her face. "It warms my heart to see you this happy" MC walked over to Jake and nibbled on his ear. "Come on I've got plans for you" MC took Jake by the hand leading him to the bedroom.
