41. Gods' envy

I'm eaten by clawed extremities
Working digits of ten pulping me chafed fresh
Wrecking me carefully
'There's intimacy in shared pains'
So he tells me
The ideals predating
The gullet moreish
Conditioning me to adhere to his injures
Bleeding the same gelled ichor_to twain perfection
On the achromic Heath Bedstraw bestowed on the damp swales
Teaching me to wound him fair on that moorland chest smiling

"Intimacy shouldn't be this hard to bear"
I've wanted to say
But he's carrying mine
rubbed-off indignity and silvered like a holy penitence deed
As if my heavy heart, my unbidden grievance had the power to make Gods reconsider
Let the daylight_gilted, fair-haired maiden reap our eyes
Tow us back blest to even tenors

So I stick at his side
Persevere in holding him
Pains in palms
My indulgence staining me flushed tinges of dahlia
But I don't reconsider
nor do I do it for reconciliation with the man in the sky above
My body_though ailing with undying dysphoria,
Will rest for a life unbowing to groomed pardon
Two trembling arms pushing me on a still chest are enough
Pressuring me closer to the bore of his blaze
And he whispered
"Fervent lovers make gods wish for such pains"
