Chapter 3

A loud crashing sound caused me to wake up suddenly. I looked around I wasn't in my apartment or my room. I slowly looked up to see Sam asleep with his arms around me as I laid my head on his chest.

I heard another crash, there was a huge thunder storm

"Sam, Sam" I shook him trying to wake him up

"Huh what?" He slowly opened his eyes before jumping back and letting me go "I'm so sorry" he said softly

"It's okay" I smiled before another crash of thunder roared through the sky causing me to jump back into his arms

"Is someone a little scared of thunder storms?" He asked rubbing my back, I just nodded my head and buried my face into his chest "don't you worry I will protect you" he smiled placing a soft kiss on my head. Just as he did another crash sounded round the room, I grabbed onto him tighter then ever

"Come on it will be okay how bout I take you to my room and you can sleep there it's less scary" he smiled before standing up and holding out his hands I grabbed on to them and stood up but as I did yet another crash of thunder I jumped straight onto him

"Please don't let me fall" I said softly into his neck

"I've got you I wouldn't ever let you fall" he whispered back maybe he knew what I meant when I said it earlier perhaps he worked it out.

He slowly carried me to his room and put me back on my feet

"Okay here you go, just sleep here and ill be out on the couch okay" he smiled before grabbing the door handle he was about to close the door when

"Sam wait" I shouted as I laid down in his bed

"Yeah" he asked

"Lay with me please?" I said softly patting the other side of the bed

"Are you sure?" He asked with concern rubbing the back of his neck, I just nodded and laid on my side he slowly walked over and laid on top of the covers next to me and put his arm around my waist pulling me close, he was acting really defensive of me like he wouldn't let anyone or anything hurt me maybe he was the right boy for me I guess time can only tell!

Sam's POV

I awoke to a slight ray of light on my face. I slowly rubbed my eyes and looked around my room before turning and seeing Jade still laying next to me she was cuddled up to my side and I still had my arm around her

"Jade?" I whispered slowly rocking her to wake her up all though she looked beautiful when she slept

"Hmm" was all she got out before opening her eyes slightly

"Good morning" I smiled, her eyes grew wide before she grabbed the blanket pulling it up to her neck and moved away from me

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned

"I can't be here I have to go!" She said back quickly jumping out of the bed and searching for her shoes and jacket

"Why do you have to go? I can drive you" I said standing up and searching for my shirt

"I should of never stayed here it was a bad idea" she said rushing out of my room into the lounge room

"Jade just stop please, nothing happened between us last night remember why you freaking out like this?" I explained

"You don't understand Sam" she said sternly

"Help me to understand all I want to do is protect you Jade, I want you to be mine" I couldn't help it my words just slipped out
