With the young man's guidance, Lisa quickly arrived at the tribe headquarters.

When he looked at the big wall in front of him and the line of the building, he wondered whether this was the Ming City or a village.

There was simply no difference between the two of them.

"That is the door," the young man pointed to the door at the side.

Lisa glanced at the door and approached it. His gaze turned icy as he looked towards the young man.

"Can you open the door?"

The young man nodded his head. He moved towards the door and turned the ring on the door.

A mark appeared as the door opened. Before he could say anything, Lisa had already rushed inside while Lou stuffed a pouch into his hand and ran inside.

The young man was stunned. He kept the pouch and headed towards the gate.

The guards on the gate tensed up when they saw him and they gave him unfriendly gaze.

"Where is my father? I need to meet with him," the young man said as he stuffed a coin into the guard's hand.

The guards looked at each other before they relayed a message while the young man waited in front of the gate leisurely.

...

Lisa didn't need a long time to find Jennie because the two of them hadn't traveled far.

Jiu noticed Lisa's arrival and he quickly pulled Jennie and pointed a knife to her neck.

With Jennie's current condition, there was no way she could react in time.

"Return Jennie back!" Lisa stopped in his tracks. He could see that Jiu was putting the knife real close to Jennie.

With their martial arts level at almost the same, he cannot guarantee that he could save Jennie before Jiu killed her.

With Jennie still breathing heavily and the beads of sweat on her forehead, Lisa knew that she was tired.

The weakened state of Jennie made his heart ache and his rage boiled towards Jiu at an unknown high and dangerous level.

Jiu narrowed his eyes. The altar was still a distance away from this place, and he couldn't possibly drag Jennie all the way while watching Lisa's movement.

If he were to kill this woman before they reached the altar, he wouldn't get the power.

That was the rule that his fiancée told him in the past.

"I won't. I need her power," Jiu said obstinately.

"She can't the future," Lisa said.

"I only need her blood and life," Jiu answered as he started to move backward while dragging the half-conscious Jennie in his arm.

Seeing Jennie in that state made Lisa's heart pained terribly.

He wanted to rush over and save Jennie as fast as possible. Besides, he still needed to cure her poison first.

Hearing Lisa's voice, Jennie raised her eyelids a little bit. She could faintly see the disheveled Lisa in front of her.

Her lips curled up, he came for her. She could sense the knife on her neck moving slightly when Jiu moved.

She waited for the next step as she gathered her concentration and power into her feet and arms.

When Jiu stepped again, Jennie pushed her head back to his chest while her hand moved to hold the arm that holding the knife, preventing it from hurting her. Her sudden movement staggered the other party.

And then, she swiftly docked to the side, knocking his other hand that held her.

Before Jiu could react, she leaped forward to Lisa's embrace in front of her.

Jennie's sudden movement shocked Lisa, but he captured her instantly while Lou dashed forward and battled with Jiu.

Although Jiu was caught off guard by Jennie, he could block Lou's attack at the right time and counter-attack the other party.

His face darkened.

This was the second time he was caught off guard by the little girl.

Just what was that insane speed she had?

Lisa hurriedly opened the tie on Jennie's hand as she stayed quiet in his embrace.

She smiled when she saw Lisa's face up close.

"You've come," she murmured, "thank you."

Jennje passed out and Lisa hugged her tightly while he was still busy dealing with her arm and leg.

On the other hand, Lou focused on dealing with Jiu completely because he knew that Jiu was far stronger than him.

Luckily, Jiu was wounded by Jennie in several places before, slightly slowing his movement down.

Lisa wanted to take care of Jiu right here and now, but Jennie placed her first on his priority list.

With the chain coming off and the tie being broken, he quickly carried her away.

"Lou, regroup later."

"Yes, Young Master," Lou answered as he evaded the attack.

Watching them go away, Jiu was distracted for a moment, and Lou's attack hit him at that moment.

He quickly gathered his attention back. If he were to think about other things, he would surely die next time.

When Lisa came out of the gate, he saw that the young man was talking with an older man.

They turned around when they heard the noise Lisa made. The appearance of Lisa bringing a woman in his hand made the two people stunned.

"Who are you?" the old man asked.

"I'm just a passing general who came here to retrieve my wife," Lisa answered.

He could see that this old man was someone with authority in this place.

The young man pointed towards Lisa, "He's the man I tell you that come here to find the altar."

The old man looked towards Jennie before glancing back to Lisa in a split second, "You can come inside if you need to rest. I will call a doctor for her."

Lisa frowned. He didn't believe this old man.

The young man waved his hand, "She came from the Kim Family, right? There is no way Jiu would take her to the altar if she is not."

The old man glared at the young man before turning his head to the guards, "Catch Jiu from the ancient altar."

"Yes, Your Highness."

The guards walk past Lisa while he still stands there, looking highly suspicious.

"Young man, the little lady needs rest. Don't worry. We don't have any intention of hurting her."
