Another minute or two later the silver spoon started speaking to everyone "Okay, time to get down to business. This is no time to stand around making friends like a bunch of dull-eyed baboons"
"Oh, that's true. I think someone said something about a bigger problem or something? What was that about?" Makoto asked, ignoring the insult
"Well, you see..." Sayaka started to explain "Makoto, you said a bunch of stuff happened and then you were 'just asleep,' right? Well, the same is true for all of us."
"What? Seriously?" Makoto was surprised for some reason. Is it that hard to believe if it's the same thing that happened to you?
"Just after each of us got to the main hall, we lost consciousness. And when we came to, we were somewhere here in the school! That's what happened to you right?" Leon added
"B-But that's just... weird! That every one of us would get knocked out like that..." Makoto stated the obvious
"Exactly! That's why we're all freakin' out!" Mondo started shouting
"And that's not the only thing. You saw where all the windows in the classes and hallways were, right? But instead of normal glass windows, it was a bunch of big metal plates! What's that about!?" Taka mentioned the other anomalies
"Plus, all my stuff's missing! Even my cellphone..." Junko's statement caused everyone to check their pockets.
"Yeah, you're right. I haven't seen my PDA anywhere, either..." Chihiro looked worried
"And then there's the main hall here. The front exit is completely blocked by some giant metal hatch. But there wasn't anything like that when I first got here...! What the heck!? What's it doing here!?" Taka stated the... is everyone just gonna keep stating the obvious?
"Maybe we got caught up in some kinda, like, you know... crime or something?" Junko posed the only useful question since this conversation started
"What, like... a kidnapping? You think maybe someone grabbed us and hauled us off and we're not actually at the school?" Leon asked, getting increasingly worried
"Come on, don't think like that. Cheer up! I bet this is all just part of the school's orientation procedure. Yeah, I'm sure that's it! So I'm just gonna take it easy for a bit." Hiro tried to convince everyone
"Oh... So you think they wanted to do something to surprise us?" Chihiro accepted what Hiro had said
"Huh. Well if that's all it is, it's nap time for me. I was up way too late last night, so I could use a little shuteye" Leon had also accepted it, putting his hand to the back of his head
Seemingly Quill had to be the one to drop reality on them "I hate to break it to you, but if Hope's Peak did something like this, I would know. And doesn't this seem like a bit much for a surprise?" And if he spoke it into reality
*Ding dong, bing bong*
It started. The monitor on the wall buzzed to life showing the silhouette of a... bear? "Ahem! Ahem! Testing, testing! Mike check, one two! This is a test of the school broadcast system! Am I on? Can Everyone hear me? Okay, well then...!" Quill had never heard that voice before, but somehow knew it didn't mean well, no matter how cheery and childish it sounded "Ahh, to all incoming students! I would like to begin the entrance ceremony at... right now! Please make your way to the gymnasium at your earliest convenience... That's all. I'll be waiting!"
After a bit of silence, Junko was the first to speak. "...What. The. Hell was that just now?"
But Byakuya immediately left. "Well then, if you'll excuse me..."
