I run down the steps of the playground and meet Walker on the sidewalk. "Hi," I smile. "Hey," He says, giving me a confused look. I stare at the floor for a moment, fidgeting with my bracelets. "I miss you so much, Walker." I say softly, looking up at him. His expression softens as he grabs my hand. "I've been missing you," He smiles.

"Do you maybe want to try again?" I ask. He nods, "More than anything." "Okay," I mumble. "Okay," He says, copying me. "If you do anything like that again I'll fuck you up." I grin. He laughs, pulling me against him. I rest my head on his shoulder as he hugs my waist. "I don't deserve you, Amara." "For real. I'm just so amazing." I laugh. "Totally,"

TIME SKIP,

I sit up in my bed, taking a sip of water before setting my glass back on my night stand. I pull my phone off the charger and check my notifications. It's almost noon.

My brother blasts Justin Bieber songs down the hall as I walk into the bathroom. I fix my hair and brush my teeth. My mom is in Texas for filming, and my dad is at the grocery store. I walk downstairs, not bothering to change out of the T-shirt I slept in.

Someone knocks on the door and I quickly set my orange juice down before walking into the foyer to answer it. "Hi," Walker grins, pulling me onto my front porch. "Hey...what's up?" I question. "I have a surprise." He says, leading me toward the park. "Dude, I look disgusting. At least let me get ready." I tell him. He stops to look at me for a moment. "You look beautiful," He smiles, kissing my cheek. I roll my eyes, "Thanks."

We continue walking down the street until we get to a green space near the playground. "Close your eyes." Walker says excitedly. I shake my head, "No way. Last time you told me to close my eyes I walked into a pole." "That was entirely your fault." He scoffs. "I couldn't see!?" "Whatever," He mutters, "Follow me."

He takes me over to a picnic blanket laid out under a tree. "Happy 3 weeks...again." He says excitedly. "It's pretty," I smile. "You're pretty." He laughs.

I sit down and he hands me a box of chocolates. "Oh my gosh," I grin, opening the box immediately. "Don't eat all of them." He tells me. "Shush," I say, taking a bite of one. I set the box next to my phone and stare at Walker for a moment. "What?" He questions. "Nothing," I laugh. "You're perfect." He smiles.

I lean toward him and close the gap between us. He puts his arms around my waist, pulling me close as we start to get into a rhythm.

He pulls away for a moment, breathing heavy. "I love you, Amara." He says softly, tightening his grip around my waist. In a second my lips are back on his. "I love you, too." I smile.

TIME SKIP,

"Does summer make you tired?" I ask, "I think it's the heat. It makes me not want to do anything." "Yeah, kinda." He says. I take a sip from his water bottle and lay back down, resting my head on his chest.

He shifts a bit before putting his arm around me. "I'm glad I get to spend my summer with you, though." I smile, "Me too. This is gonna be the best summer ever." "Already is,"
