The Talk: Pt.2

Hi guys! I'm back with the Talk but with Aiden! I will try to update as much as I can today as I am leaving for a trip today! Enjoy! 

Aiden POV: 

I watch nervously as Aru walks into my house as my mom cheerfully greets her. I'm terrified. Aru's mom has been nice to me so far but I know how overprotective she is of Aru. I pull up into the Museum's driveway to see Krithika Shah with her cup of chai,giving me smile and death glare in one look.  I nervously wipe my palms on my pants and took a deep breath and stepped outside. 

"Come on in Aiden!" said Krithika,opening the door into her home 

I stepped inside and was instantly reminded of Aru. The museum was messy and chaotic just  like Aru's personality. I saw a table with two cups of chai and a platter of samosas on the table.  

I think that Krithika sensed my nervousness as she motioned me to sit down. 

We started talking about school,work and other unimportant things.I rehearsed most of these responses until Krithika said something that caught me off guard. 

"Aiden, I don't have a problem with you dating my daughter. Nevermind that's a lie. It's not you,it's just that I don't want Aru to be hurt like how I was. Because I swear to god if you break aru's heart and god forbid if you make her cry, me,your mom,her sisters and the entire otherworld will rain hell on you" said Krithika ,eyes blazing with determination 

I gulped nervously before responding 

"I promise on Shadowfax that I wouldn't break Aru's heart,Mrs.Shah. I would never do that to her and I know that Brynne would actually murder me if I did anything to Aru. I just want to confirm that I truly love Aru and it would break my heart if anything happened to her" I said,sweating profusely 

Krithika eyed me up and down before bursting into laughter. I looked at her confused but happy that she wasn't getting ready to murder me.   

"You should have seen the look on your face Aiden! I was testing you but I'm happy you care so much about Aru! I wouldn't do anything to you,do you know how in love Aru is with you?!"said Krithika,still laughing  

I just stared at Krithika as went on about how Aru overthinks everything when he was around or how she had faceplanted on the floor for a hour when she first met him. My smile increasingly grew bigger as Krithika told me that Aru would rant to her about him.  I started to relax as Krithika told me more about Aru's childhood. 

I glanced down at my watch and was surprised to see that 2 hours had passed by. I had a date with Aru and I was very worried about being late. I quickly thanked Krithika for everything and left. 

I walked outside to see Aru smirking with a hand on her hip. I rolled my eyes but gave her hug,picking her off the ground.

"Put me down ace-cakes!  You gotta show me the photos of me you have on shadowfax"said Aru,while I twirled her around in the air 

"I'm actually going to kill my mother when I get home. You didn't tell me about how faceplanted on the floor when you first met me" I said,raising an eyebrow 

Aru started blushing but then started laughing. She kissed me on the cheek and led me to her car,where to my horror,I saw the potoates were filming everything on their phones. 

"Didn't know you were the romantic type Wifey?" said Brynne,smirking 

"You denfintly don't show that much affection to me and I am your cousin!"said Rudy,annoyed that the attention wasn't on him 

"Were you in on this?!" I said, banging my head on the steering wheel 

"Maybe but that's not important,drive us to the ice cream store" said Aru,elbowing my side 

"YA WE WANT ICE CREAM!!!!!"said all of the potatoes 

I groaned but secretly I was happy that everything ended like this.
