Otherside Manik had boarded his flight for Sydney

He tried to push the thoughts away and focus on the work that awaited him in Sydney, but his mind kept wandering back to the woman. He wondered if he would ever see her again, and if she would even want to see him.

Next day

Manik's POV

I was working in my laptop when a Ayan entered in and hugged me

"I missed you meri jaan" My dramatic best friend screamed in my ears

I'm straight ayan," I groaned, pushing him away.

You dont love me anymore" he said and sat on the couch with a fake sad face

I rolled my eyes and sat down

Now if your drama is over then can we please discuss the presentation before the Malik's arrive.

"As you say sir" Ayan said and they both got back to work.

As they were about to go to the conference room Ayan stopped manik and said

Bro, I forgot to mention but Instead of Mr. Malik, his sister will be working with us.

"Fine" Manik replied and they entered inside

In the conference room Manik and Ayan entered and saw Saad Malik along with a woman who was typing something in her phone

As they approached the table, Saad stood up and shook hands with Manik and Ayan before introducing the woman.

"Manik, Ayan, this is my sister Nandini. She'll be working with us on this project," Saad said, gesturing towards the woman typing away on her phone.

Manik's heart skipped a beat as he recognized the woman. It was the same woman he had spent the night with in the hotel room. He couldn't believe it was her, and he wondered if she recognized him too.

"Nandini, this is Manik and Ayan. They'll be working with us on the project," Saad introduced her to the two men.

Nandini looked up from her phone and met Manik's gaze.

Hello Mr. Malhotra

She said in professional tone but her eyes were blank

Manik tried to mask his surprise and nodded politely. "Hello Nandini," he said, trying to keep his voice steady.

They all took their seats and Saad started discussing the project details. Manik tried his best to focus on the work, but his mind kept drifting back to the woman sitting across from him.

He couldn't believe that fate had brought them back together like this. He wondered if she remembered their night together, and if she did, what she thought of him now.

As the meeting went on, Manik couldn't help but steal glances at Nandini

As the meeting ended, Saad got up to leave and Nandini packed her things. Manik hesitated for a moment before gathering the courage to talk to her.

"Excuse me, Nandini. Can we talk for a minute?" he asked,

Nandini looked up at him, her expression guarded. "Sure, what do you want to talk about?" she replied, her tone cool and professional.

Manik's POV

So that night…” I started, but I could not complete as she interrupted in between

“I was drunk and that night meant nothing to me. It was just a one-night stand

She replied making me angry but keeping my emotions in check I nodded when she continued

We are working together now, and I don't want anything from the past to affect our work relationship. Let's keep it strictly professional," she said before turning to leave.

Ayan entered the cabin when nandini left and asked

What's going on between you and nandini? During the meeting you were gawking her as if you've never seen a woman before.

Manik sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "We had a one-night stand before, and now we're working together. But she made it clear that she wants to keep things strictly professional," he explained

Ayan raised an eyebrow. "Well, that's too bad. She's gorgeous," he commented, earning a glare from Manik.

"Don't even think about it," Manik warned. Ayan chuckled and said,"Are you possessive for her already?"

Manik rolled his eyes. "No, I just don't want any drama in the workplace. We're here to do a job, not to complicate things wewith personal affairs," he replied sternly and Ayan nodded and they got back to their work.

In Malik Mansion

Nandini was sitting on the bed, lost in her thoughts when her phone pinged with a message from Saad

Jaana, i have called Manik and Ayan for dinner today so be there on time.

Nandini sighed at the message. She didn't want to see Manik again, especially outside of work. But she knew she couldn't avoid it forever, so she replied with a simple "okay."

She informed Heer about the dinner plan and got ready and went to Heer' penthouse which is next to hers

Heer, let's leave bhabhi must be waiting for us

Nandini said and Heer nodded and they went towards their Car During the car ride, Heer noticed Nandini's unease and asked her what was wrong.

"It's just that I don't want to see Manik outside of work, Heer. I don't want to complicate things," Nandini replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Heer placed a hand on Nandini's shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, Nandini. I'll be with you the whole time," she said, trying to comfort her friend.
