What's going on? Saad who had just arrived asked
I had to make a special announcement."Ram Ahuja
said, looking at everyone in the room. "Navya and Manik are getting engaged next week.

Engaged? Manik was getting engaged to Navya?
I looked at manik who had an expression less face.
"Manik" Ayan whisper shocked hearing the news
I looked at Heer and Ayan, who both had expressions of shock and disbelief on their faces. I knew I had to get out of there before I completely lost it.
Nandu open the door,
Heer knocked from outside.
Heer I'm fine, please i want to stay alone
I said, my voice shaking. Heer hesitated for a moment before nodding and telling me she was there for me if I needed her.

As I sat alone in my room, my mind was a whirlwind of emotions.
closed my eyes, trying to calm myself down. I knew that I had to be strong for the baby, and I couldn't let my emotions get the best of me. I took a deep breath, trying to push away the thoughts of Manik and Navya's engagement..

After some time
Nandu drink this milk and you have to take your medicine.
Heer who came inside handed nandini the glass of milk who drank it making faces.
Nandu, are you sure you're okay?
I'm fine Heer, Navya had already told na that manik loves her alot. And I think it would be better if we don't tell him anything
"But nandu if manik comes to know about the baby then
Before Heer could continue nandini interrupted her
Nandini's POV ends
But what Heer, Manik himself agreed for this marriage na? If he wasn't interested then he could have rejected the proposal. You know that they have the power to kill my baby if they get to know that it's manik's child
Before Heer could say anything, a person came inside making them shocked.
Nandini are you pregnant?" Ayan's voice boomed inside the room, startling both nandini and Heer.

Nandini nodded while Ayan was shocked as well as happy to know that his best friend was soon going to be a father.

Ayan came closer to Nandini and held her hand. " Nandini i overheard your and Heer's conversation and if you don't want to inform manik about your pregnancy then even we will keep it a secret.

Heer looked at him while he blinked his eyes.

But I want something for keeping this secret

Nandini looked at Ayan, her expression confused. "What do you mean, Ayan?" she asked, wondering what he could possibly want.

Ayan grinned mischievously. "I want you to be my sister.

Of course, Ayan. I'd love to be your sister

Nandini said and side hugged him

Now if you brother-sister moment is over then nandu you should sleep.

Ayan don't you think someone is jealous.

Nandini playfully nudged Ayan as they both chuckled looking at Heer who was looking at them with a pout

Nandini just hugged her tightly whispering a thank you.

Both Ayan and Heer left wishing nandini a good night and went out

In Heer's room

"Ayan yesterday you told that manik was not interested in nandini that's why I  asked nandu to talk to him, but he is ready to get engaged to navya"

"I know love even I'm confused why he agreed to this engagement. I think he is hiding something.

"I don't know Ayan but I don't want nandini to suffer more, she has already suffered in the past and now she is already scared for the baby." Heer said concerned for her bestfriend.

Ayan nodded in agreement. "I know, love. We have to be careful and protect her from any harm," he said, his voice full of determination.

Thanks Ayan" She pecked his lips.

I can do anything for such rewards." He said and winked making her blush

Heer playfully hit Ayan's chest while he hugged her.

In Manik's penthouse

Manik was doing something on his phone when Ayan entered inside and ignored him

Manik looked up from his phone and raised an eyebrow at Ayan's cold demeanor. "What's up, man?" he asked, sensing something was off.

Ayan took a deep breath and looked at Manik straight in the eye. "Manik you are getting to Navya," he said, his voice cold and emotionless.

Manik's expression shifted to confusion. "Yeah, what about it?" he asked, wondering where Ayan was going with this.

"Aren't you in love with Nandini?" Ayan asked, his voice full of accusation.

Manik's eyes widened in shock at the directness of Ayan's question. "What makes you think that?" he asked, trying to keep his voice even.

"I've seen the way you look at her, the way you care for her. Why were you jealous that day when she was talking to that guy

?" Ayan continued, his eyes piercing.

Manik took a deep breath, not knowing how to respond. "Ayan, I can't explain it to you. It's complicated," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ayan scoffed. "Complicated? You're engaged to Navya, Manik. If you have feelings for Nandini, you need to break it off with Navya before it's too late," he said, his voice full of urgency.

Ayan whatever is happening is perfect for everyone" manik said and went to his room.

Ayan watched him go but decided to know the truth.

Leap of three days

In these three days Ayan made sure that manik didn't meet nandini which made manik frustrated but he couldn't do anything.

Today after three days nandini was coming to their office as they had a very important meeting.

In the conference room

Manik was waiting for nandini for the meeting but frowned looking at Ayan and Heer along with nandini who was accompanied by a man

Manik, he is Rudra, Heer's cousin and is going to work with us

Manik nodded and greeted Rudra, but his eyes were fixed on Nandini.

After the meeting was over, Manik couldn't help but jealous of seeing nandini and Rudra laughing on something

As they were going out, Ayan said

Nandini will you and Rudra go to check the site for the new project? I think it would be a good opportunity for him to get familiar with the work we do here.

Nandini nodded, smiling at Rudra. "Sure, I'd be happy to show him around," she said.

Manik's eyes narrowed as he watched them leave

Why is he going with nandini? Manik asked unable to hide his jealousy

Why, it's good na if Rudra is with nandini, they can even spend some time with each other. Do you have any problem with it?" Ayan spoked enjoying Manik's expressions.

Why would I have problem with him going with her." Manik said and left the cabin and Ayan smirked.
