Now that it's the weekend, I realize how boring it is to not be filming or hanging out with Diana and Harry. Honestly, in my past movies, I never became so close with other people in the cast. Everything had been kept professional. Which is how it should be, but it's clearly not.
I really need to do something though, because I think I might die from boredom if I keep sitting on the little porch connected to my hotel room. Maybe I could go to a mall? I guess that will have to do.
I make sure to check the weather before I get ready to leave. Fall is my favorite season because it has the perfect weather, not to mention the fact that it is so pretty with all of the leaves and pumpkin spice lattes and Starbucks! It's supposed to be around 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
I grab my brownish-orange skirt and my black square-neck shirt. I pull on sheer black tight to keep my legs warm, and go outside to check if I will be warm enough. It is warm enough, except my arms are a bit cold.
I go back in and look through the drawer that I shoved all of my jackets in. Geez, I really need to be more organized. Looking through them all, a specific one catches my eye. It's Harry's jacket. I yank it out of the sea of clothing and put it on.
It matches perfectly. It's the white Zara jacket. I zip it halfway up and slip into my black platform heels. I walk over to the full length mirror held up against the wall. Damn, I look cute! This is the most confident I have felt in a while. I'm giving the credit to Harry's jacket because it really completes the outfit.
I leave the hotel, carrying my small black bag. I guess I could head over to Starbucks before the mall. I feel stares all around me, but I don't care. I have never felt this good before. I keep walking and pretend I am strutting down the cat walk.
Once I get into Starbucks, I wait in line. I already know that I am getting a pumpkin spice latte. It was put on the menu again last week, and I am so excited to have it again. I missed it so much this year.
Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder, making me jump. Laughter comes from behind me and I recognize it almost immediately. It's Harry. I spin around and see his neck. I look up and see his face, which is gleaming with joy, as always.
He should seriously donate some inches. I'm in platform heels and he is still taller than me by 3 inches.
"The jacket looks great!" He exclaims and goes in for a hug. Oh shoot. I forgot that it was his jacket for a hot second. I hug him back and hold my breath, hoping I will just evaporate into thin air. Of course it doesn't happen, and I always have to get into the most awkward and unlucky situations.
I quickly take off the jacket and hold it up to his face. Please just take the jacket and forget this ever happened Harry!
"It's okay, I told you that you could keep it. And it's pretty cold out." I sigh and put it back on. The line is already so much longer. They all probably saw Harry, and ran in just to see him. I don't blame them, I would do the same. Not anymore, but before I knew him, I would.
"So, did you have any plans for today?" I nod and move up in the line.
"I was just going to go to the mall. I was so bored in the hotel and just needed to get outside and do something." He smiles as he points behind me. I look behind me and see that it's my turn to order. Why on earth do I keep embarrassing myself!
I order a pumpkin spice latte, but I stop myself before I pay. I swivel to Harry, who is watching me calmly. "What would you like?" He looks surprised.
"Oh, I would like to get an english breakfast tea. But I only came in to see you! You don't need-" I cut him off and tell the worker that I would also like an english breakfast tea. She nods and I pay for the drinks. I walk over to where they place the finished drinks to wait.
"Andrea, you didn't have-"
"Shh! I wanted to, so I did. Be grateful I am not bullying you right now." I try to keep it cool and have my 'mean and funny' persona.
"Fine," He smirks, and I know he is plotting something. "But I have to pay for everything you get at the mall." My jaw drops.
"Harry, no! That's not fair. I literally bought you a $5 drink, not $500! You don't need to pay for anything."
"Yes!" Harry makes a pouting face.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!" Harry is now staring me down. I feel like I could become a piece of burnt toast.
"No!"
"Yes!"
"Harry." I raise an eyebrow, trying to be serious.
"Rae." Woah. At this point, I'm a statue. He has never called me that before. Nobody has. I kinda like how it sounds when he says it though.
"You won't pay for my things," I grab our drinks and hand his tea to him. "I might not even buy anything. I needed to do something."
Harry rolls his eyes. "It was the same for me though! I wasn't going to get anything, I just saw you and wanted to say hi. But you ended up buying me something anyways. So I can do the same for you!"
I give up at this point. Knowing him, he won't stop until the day he dies. "Fine. But we can't go to any designer stores. I don't care how much money you have, I'm not letting you buy me a $600 bag or something."
"Deal." Harry and I leave the Starbucks and walk to the mall. I feel a cool breeze and look at all of the trees lined down the wide sidewalk. Autumn leaves are falling down like pieces into place. Everything seems so perfect. I love fall, and enjoying the cool breeze and pumpkin spice lattes with my one of my friends is all I would ever want.
Harry and I link arms as we walk through the big glass doors of the mall. He pulls up his surgical mask and puts on his sunglass. I do the same and we glance at all of the stores and the high ceilings. This place is huge.
"Where do you want to go first?" Harry asks, as we try to squeeze through the large crowds of people. One of the people screams and runs over to Harry.
"Oh my god! Can I get a photo please?" Harry looks at me for permission. Why is he asking me? I chuckle, nodding, and wait for him, but he doesn't say yes to the teenage girl.
"Sorry, would you mind if we didn't? It's really packed here and I'm with my friend."
The girl nods "Of course!"
"It was lovely meeting you." The girl nods, then runs off screaming.
"That was so cute." I say to Harry, as his head turns towards me.
I see the wrinkles by his eyes through the dark sunglasses. He seems so happy and I just wish I could give him the world. This really needs to be more professional, but I don't want it to be. It's like we have known each other for so much longer than a week.
Not to mention the fact that we have been so productive with filming. I can't believe we got as far as we have. We have been so good with blocking and line learning, that we get through so fast.
Harry and I continue to go through the mall. Fans come up and ask for a picture every once and a while. I decide what to get, and it's a cute pair of earrings. They were pretty cute, and weren't that expensive. Harry buys them for me, as promised. I still feel a little guilty about it, but if that's really what he wants, that's what he can do.
