Her brother woke her up that morning, driving her to the school right next to his own

"I hate school" she grumbles, glaring at one of the students who teased her from the passenger seat of the car
Her brother sighs slapping her arm gently
"I know. Just meet us for lunch and if anyone makes fun of you...." He trails off making a fist and shaking it in the air

"Bye Billy" the girl smiles softly opening the car door
"Bye Scar" he mumbles as he gets out of the car raising a hand in a wave before the two walk in opposite directions

The girl huffs in frustration as she walks to the friend groups usually sit, tying her hair back that kept getting in her face
She wasn't paying attention to where she was walking so she didn't see when a brown-haired girl stuck her leg out tripping her

She grunted as she fell onto the ground scraping her knees and hands up, glaring up at the girl looming over her
"What? Gonna cry to you mommy?.... Oh wait" the brunette smirks

Scar clenches her fists remembering what Billy had told her that morning before springing up and tackling the girl

The girl exclaims, elbowing her face causing blood to spill out of her nose before the redhead starts punching the girl repeatedly.

The brunette flipped their position, pulling at her hair and managing to scrape a bit of her jaw on the concrete

Scarlett lets out a wince punching the girl off of her and going to get more hits when she's grabbed by the waist and pulled away. Quickly shoving the person off and turning around to see Dewey Riley

She sniffles a bit wiping off her nose and chin as he looks at her with concern

He glanced down at the other girl as she sobbed and her friends surrounded her
He gestures for her to go and she takes off running over to the high school fountain

She saw her brother lying sprawled out on the fountain with his girlfriend Sidney sitting between his legs next to Stu with Tatum on his lap and Randy at the end

She sat next to the geeky boy on the sidewalk pulling her knees up to her chest
"Hey Scar" Randy greets, ruffling the girl's hair, not bothering to look down at her
Billy sits up on his elbows eyes widening a bit at the girl's scraped up hands and knees along with the dried-up blood around her nose

"The hell happened to you?" He asks and she shrugs
"I did what you told me to" She shrugs and he tilts his head as his mouth opens a bit
"I won" She smiles after a moment of silence from the group and Stu claps, nodding his head proudly

"Ask Dewey" she adds a bit embarrassed
"What's with all the cops?"

"Two students were killed last night" Randy states giving the girl a hand full of grapes he had snatched from Tatum
"They're questioning the school"

"What kind of questions did they ask you, Sidney?" Tatum asks swatting the boy's hand away when he reaches for more

"They asked me if I knew Casey" she states
"Yeah. They asked me that too-""Hey, they ask if you like to hunt?" Stu asks looking at Billy

Sometimes Scarlett wondered if the two boys would get together. They were always close and she was pretty sure when they were in middle school she saw them kissing
"Yeah, they did. They ask you?"

"Hunt? Why would they ask you if you like to hunt?" Tatum questions
" 'Cause their bodies were gutted" Randy replies

The redhead grimaces at the answer before Billy gestures for her to come over
"Thank you, Randy" he says pouring a bit of his water onto a napkin from Sidney's lunch box and wiping her face off
