"Scarlett!" The man exclaims from the living room
"What?" She questions pouring the popcorn in a bowl
"Can you get the phone?" He asks and she groans
She had heard it ringing for the past five minutes but ever since the accidents she's dreaded picking up a phone
Of course she never told anyone that. She didn't want to seem weak
"Hello?" She questions. Nothing only heavy breathing
"Hello?" She asks again
"Hello" her heart sinks to her stomach at the voice
"Billy?" She mutters in shock and the voice cackles
"Close but not quiet" it states. The girl curses under her breath praying it was a prank call
"Where's Sidney, Scar?" Her brothers voice rings out
"I-I can't. I-""Scarlett who was it?" Randy asks and she curses under her breath
"It's my friend from school!"
"You're a liar now?"
"I'll still tell him" she threatens and the voice hums
"Where's Sidney?" The voice demands
"In your mother. Don't call again"
