Scarlett sat with "Jed" or as he revealed himself as Danny
It was strange, Violet was excited for the two but was a bit disappointed when they acted like they were hiding things

"You know, I'm surprised Jed hasn't popped out a ring yet. I mean it's been like over five years" Violet comments as the two walk into the the couples home

"Jed's just... neither of us want to get married feels too uh-""Yeah, yeah, I get that but still. A rings a ring and he could hit you a real nice one-""he's a journalist" Scarlett comments

And a killer

"Whatever. I've got a date tonight" the blonde says as she grins
"Oh, your mystery woman? I can't wait to meet her when y'all move past flings" Scarlett says playfully nudging her friends shoulder

"Yeah, but she's from woodsburroo she could be some psych-uh, we'll never mind. I'll see you later" Violet says giving a smile before she walks out

Scarlet knew the blonde didn't mean anything by it but it still made a pang of hurt shoot through her, she had killer instinct as Danny always called it

She wondered if Violet ever thought she was a psycho

Scarlett hated to admit it but whenever Danny came home and came up behind her with his blood drenched gloves and hugged her getting the red all over her clothes she nearly hurled
"Go change and take a shower" she demands before the man could even take off his mask

"Aw, I'm hurt. You don't like me like this?-""No" she grumbles as she continues making pancakes, cringing slightly as he ignored her and took his mask off, snaking his arms around her and laying his chin in her shoulder

"You uh-you should really relax a bit, babe. You're too tense" he taunts as he squeezes her waist shapely causing her to jolt a bit
"Go shower-you got blood on my clothes, that shit stains-""Relax" he demands softly just staying like this

"...you-uh... who'd you kill?"

"Some guy, real douche" Danny comments
"Tried to touch what was mine" he adds, not mentioning it had been the barista at a coffee shop the two went to earlier that week, and the man in question was-or he had thought, was being a bit too friendly with Scarlett

"Well I'd enjoy it if you stopped getting these douches blood on me" Scarlett murmurs
"...you should come with me ever once in a while. Let all those frustrations out. Oh! Idea for date night-""I'm not killing people"

"Why not? You'd look so cute with the knife in your hand" he teases

"And just to be clear- I did not kill those two girls" he states
"What two girls?-""Cops apparently found these two blonde high schoolers, you know, dead. Just don't want you thinking I'm crazy or something"

(I know this is a kind of short chapter but it's getting into scream 4 🙏🏼)
